This concerns the subject of God’s wrath against the nations, the earth, and the world. This is a prophecy concerning the tribulation period. In the following verse, the Watchtower has replaced “LORD” with “Jehovah.” So let’s see if I can make them eat their own words, proving Jesus Christ is Jehovah of the Old Testament.
K.J.B. Isaiah 34:6-7-8, “The sword of the LORD (Jehovah) is filled with blood, it is made fat (overflowing) with fatness, and with the blood of lambs and goats, with the fat of the kidneys of rams: for the LORD (Jehovah) has a sacrifice in Bozrah, and a great slaughter in the land of Idumea (Edom). And the unicorns shall come down with them, and the bullocks with the bulls; and their land shall be soaked with blood, and their dust made fat with fatness. For it is the day of the LORD’S vengeance, and the year of recompenses for the controversy of Zion (Israel.)”
This is in the days of Jehovah’s vengeance. But wait, Isaiah tells us, Jehovah is Jesus. Isaiah sees the Messiah approaching Jerusalem after having avenged his people on his and Israel’s enemies,
Isaiah 63:1, “Who is this that comes from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah? This that is glorious in his apparel, traveling in the greatness of his strength? I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save.”
Revelation 19:11-15: All you Jehovah’s Witnesses, read carefully if you are interested in the truth.
“I (John) saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he will judge and make war. ---- and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. --- his name is called the Word of God. (That would be the Son of God.)
And the armies of heaven followed him --- and out of his mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: ----- and he treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. And he has on his vesture and on his thigh a name written King of Kings, and LORD of LORDs.”

Post #11So what I am corrupting?placebofactor wrote: ↑Thu Jun 26, 2025 5:45 pm"To huge." Another for my list of "WHAT the heck does that mean?" I have to admit, your comments are original. If he is as large as you're thinking, John, when he looked at the throne of the Father and saw what he saw he would have said, "Wow, is God big!" It could have led to many interesting discussions. Only kidding with you. I agree, He is "All in All"; His glory fills the universe.onewithhim wrote: ↑Thu Jun 26, 2025 4:20 pmYes, as you say, Abram saw not the Father or a mere angel. He saw Jesus representing his Father, and therefore Jesus could be referred to as "Jehovah," though not literally Jehovah.placebofactor wrote: ↑Mon Jun 23, 2025 9:41 amWho lied to you and told you that Abram knew that the one speaking to him was and angel who bore his name? The word angel is nowhere to be found in Genesis 18. Read Genesis 18:1, I will quote from your own N.W.T. 1984 and 2013 edition, "After Jehovah appeared to him (Abram) among the big trees of Mamrre,"onewithhim wrote: ↑Mon Jun 23, 2025 12:28 amWherever "LORD" has replaced the Tetragrammaton (which is God's personal name) we see it in all capital letters. "LORD" appears in most Bibles about 7,000 times.placebofactor wrote: ↑Thu Jun 19, 2025 12:55 pm
You need to show a little more respect "boy." I don't give rambling speeches. Maybe you didn't learn anything, but someone else may have, so stop tooting your horn. I put down information so people who care about the word of God understand.
"The Father said to his Son, sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool."
Remember, these words were spoken in heaven, where the Father rules, and the Son sits at his right hand. The Father is the sender, the Son is the one sent. Now, go get yourself a good Concordance, not a half-baked Arian-slanted dictionary.
The word Lord is adown, or adon. When used for men, it refers to a husband, prince, king, ruler, benefactor, master, chief person, minister of Justice.
As a proper noun, it refers to the Lord Jehovah.
Genesis 18:27, "Abraham answered and said behold now, I have taken upon me to speak unto the Lord, (adown)"
Nehemiah 1:11, "O LORD (Adown) I beseech thee, let not your ear be attentive---."
Judges 13:8, Manoah, "said, O my Lord (Adown), let the man of God which you did send come again unto us."
Genesis 15:2, "And Abram said, Lord (adown) God, what will you give me?" The Lord here is called, (Adown, Jehovah,) "Lord God."
And if you wish, I can give you 100 more verses. Now what's your story? What Watchtower nonsense do you want to tell me now?
Your wrote, "Abram spoke to the angel as Jehovah, but he knew that the angel was representing Jehovah, so the angel could bear the name "Jehovah." He was giving statements that came from Jehovah in heaven."
The word appears means to see Jehovah in the land of the living. To look at, to behold Jehovah. This was the Logos (Jesus) who Abram saw, not the Father, or an angel. Stop corrupting the truth with nonsense. Appear means to appear, nothing else.
Where did you get that from? I'll have to put that comment on my long lists of WHAT the heck does that mean?
What am I corrupting? It is not a lie that no one has seen the Father. He is too huge and magnificent to be confined to this little planet. He said that no one could see Him and live. So what's wrong with sending a representative, or an envoy, to speak for Him?
