Examine everything carefully; hold fast to that which is good.

Actually, a lot of the most hardcore Christians are not Republicans, they view the Republican party as far too left-wing for their tastes. The most hardcore Christians openly want the United States to be a Christian-only nation and the Republican Party does not support that.

Post #4Most Jews are liberal Democrats, but by no means all.
Jews have a very long history of association with and support for socialist causes, but also of support for individual liberty and civil rights. With that in mind, Jews tend to identify with the older, Kennedy-style liberalism, as opposed to the FAR left. One reason for that is the current fashion among leftists to blame Israel for any and all problems in the Levant and to excuse or ignore the egregious offenses of its enemies. Jimmy Carter would be an example.

I think "hardcore" Christians are becoming less Republican. The religious left has its own core of religious "sects"...many of them Catholic, Jewish, Baptist, Unitarian, and, yes, many using the word Christian also.
