To all the Christian members and readers of this forum:

I sincerely wish you a merry and meaningful Christmas.

I join you - as should we all - in a prayer, or wish, or desire, for peace on Earth and good will among all people - of any faith, or none.

Shalom.

Did you ever see "Miss Congeniality" with Sandra Bullock? When your wrote "peace on earth", I couldn't get her performance from that movie out of my head. I know I shouldn't have been laughing so hard, but if you know the movie, you would forgive my inappropriate burst of laughter.

Now, I can say with all serious however, I wish for peace amongst mankind. Not so much peace on Earth as it could get boring if Mother Nature didn't throw some punches now and again. But when I think of what it would be like if mankind could find peace amongst one another, it lightens my heart and gives me hope for my children and their future generations.

A point will come when nature says "enough" and something like "The Happening" or "The Day After Tomorrow" happens. And like all things man will start over and repopulate and abuse nature and................. Well, you get the point.

Darn, did I not just depress what was suppose to be a pleasant post. My apologies. I do bow my head in prayer and give thanks to my fellow man and pray for the health of them and theirs. As I hope we would find in most hearts of man, I share the hope for a time of peace and good will to all.
What we do for ourselves dies with us,
What we do for others and the world remains
and is immortal.

Never be bullied into silence.
Never allow yourself to be made a victim.
Accept no one persons definition of your life; define yourself.

Haven't seen it, but you're forgiven anyway.

Such expressions are cheapened pretty regularly in public situations. I'm reminded of some comedian satirizing acceptance speeches at the Grammys: "And I'd like to thank the Lord Jesus for blessing me with the success of my last record, 'Slap That Bitch Upside the Head'..."

Let's hope we all get the drift before that happens...
