Religious Leaders

Post by JoeyKnothead »

I was gonna post this in the thread that prompted it, but since it's opinion I'll post here.

On religious leaders, I think there are quite a few in these forums. Alphabetically, Cnorman18, Jester, Joer, and Onefaith come immediately to mind. These posters all have taught me some very valuable lessons about the good that can be had from religion. While the lessons could very well be taught without the 'religious angle' I give that 'angle' credit when the posters make them. These folks often face some very stiff opposition, and they have shown great patience, grace, and understanding in their interactions.
I think part of my motivation for coming here initially was to 'get back' at religous folks for some things in my past. I learned quickly though that those events were singular, where I always thought they were the norm. The above especially, and many other religious (and atheist) folks here, have been a great asset in my learning to be a better person, and to better understand 'humans'. I just want to let the religious folks here know that even if it's not always apparent, or always brought to mind, I at least, and I'm sure many others, appreciate your being here. If there is a God, y'all deserve every blessing that comes your way. Of course if any of y'all say I told you this I'll deny it, and call you mean names.
This concludes this episode of the Oprah show.
I might be Teddy Roosevelt, but I ain't.
