Hi, I'm new. I'm a thirteen-year-old atheist, a proud ex-Catholic (viz., I know it could have been much, much worse in what I used to believe due to parental influence), and I am new to this forum. *waves and starts accumulating a usergroup list as large as others'*

Welcome to the forum.
“What do you think science is? There is nothing magical about science. It is simply a systematic way for carefully and thoroughly observing nature and using consistent logic to evaluate results. So which part of that exactly do you disagree with? Do you disagree with being thorough? Using careful observation? Being systematic? Or using consistent logic?

*tongue in cheek* Well, at least gnomism granted me great happiness during my younger years; I cannot say the same for Christianity.

Hey there, and welcome to this lovely forum! I hope you have a great, entertaining and educational time here. So what led you to abandon Catholicism?

One of CNorman's sidekicks already? :)

Welcome!

Society and its morals evolve and will continue to evolve. The bible however remains the same and just requires more and more apologetics and claims of "metaphors" and "symbolism" to justify it.

Prayer is like rubbing an old bottle and hoping that a genie will pop out and grant you three wishes.

There is much about this world that is mind boggling and impressive, but I see no need whatsoever to put it down to magical super powered beings.
