Brothers Keepers
Post #1since I am a girl, I obviously cannot belong to a brothers group. But i will say that your posts have been anything but civil lately. You have been out of line for over 3 days now in your responses to Furrowed Brow, Beto, and Goat. But that is just one little girls opinion.
Its all just one big puzzle.

Could you pull out a quote or two with and reference the place so I have some idea of what you consider uncivil or inappropriate?
It is a first class human tragedy that people of the earth who claim to believe in the message of Jesus, whom they describe as the Prince of Peace, show little of that belief in actual practice.

Post #3Um, perhaps your own attitude has been blocking your ability to put 1+1 together to equal 2. Since this one is in regards to your lovely sexist group, then I would say, refer to your original post in that group. I am hardly the first to notice, so if you want to try to make this personal in some stupid PM, then perhaps you should review other posters observations first. This isn't the first time you have heard this.achilles12604 wrote:Ok.alexiarose wrote:since I am a girl, I obviously cannot belong to a brothers group. Post #5Yes, the truth can hurt. But as we grow up, we learn to accept it anyways. It is always a learning curve.achilles12604 wrote:Ouch.alexiarose wrote:Um, perhaps your own attitude has been blocking your ability to put 1+1 together to equal 2. Re: Brothers Keepers
Post #7Two points. First, I created the group, so the group would technically be mine. Secondly, it's not really a "sexist" group. There is no requirement that only males can join. The term "Brother's Keeper" is simply a reference to Gen 4:9.alexiarose wrote:Since this one is in regards to your lovely sexist group, then I would say, refer to your original post in that group. Gen 4:9 And the LORD said unto Cain, Where [is] Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: [Am] I my brother's keeper?
The term is not meant to mean only males can join. The fact that only males have joined so far only means that no females have requested membership.

Post #8Where did I say anything about the truth being offensive? I assume you are talking about our religious beliefs. If they offend someone, that is very different than what my comment to achilles12604 was about.Fisherking wrote:What if the truth comes off as offensive to someone?alexiarose wrote:Yes, the truth can hurt. Re: Brothers Keepers
Post #9Then I will credit you for the sexist terminology in a world where a lot men continue to either treat women with disrespect, indifference, or inferior in many aspects.otseng wrote:Two points. Perhaps you have had no female requests because of your choice of terminology. Either way, it is your group and you can see fit to do with it what you will. I have no control over it. But if I wish to comment on something posted in it as a Christian, then I can only do so here.

Re: Brothers Keepers
Post #10Well then, to clear up any false assumptions. The Brother's Keeper usergroup is open to females just as it is to males. The only requirements really is that one be a Christian and willing to be held accountable to following the rules. And any sign of disrespect for any gender, belief, age, color, etc are to be dealt with.alexiarose wrote:Then I will credit you for the sexist terminology in a world where a lot men continue to either treat women with disrespect, indifference, or inferior in many aspects.
