Hi everyone, my name is Cassie and I am a newbie at all this. I just thought I'd give a short introduction. I am 21 years old and currently living in Australia. I grew up without any religious influences until I reached high school. By this age, upon hearing all about religion it all seemed too unbelievable for me. I'd love to hear from anyone about how they began their beliefs, whatever they may be.
Thanks
Cass

Welcome to the forum. We have some very capable members from Australia -- check out Bernee for one.
There is quite a range of age represented here. I do my part to increase the average.
I cannot address the "began their beliefs" issue because I rejected beliefs of my parents while just a child and have not been tempted to worship invisible super beings. The reported magic tricks are incredible (too extraordinary and improbable to be believed) and I reject them also. The “holey scripture” is a collection of writings by Bronze Age writers with an agenda, gathered and published by churchmen with an agenda, then transcribed, translated, revised, and rewritten by churchmen with an agenda. None of the bible characters or events can be corroborated by extra-biblical sources.
If there was any evidence to support supernatural beings and magic tricks, I might be interested but “believe on faith alone what you are told by clerics” does not appeal to me.
Again, welcome. Be comfortable. Remember that all views here are opinions.
