If art, TV, radio, theatre are to represent life, then to exclude religion would be wrong. Just because you think that it should not be there.
Try eliminating violence or sex. This would likely change more life styles than the elimination of religion.
Without religion, art would not exist as it does today. Most old art is religious art.
From ancient hand painting to daily depictions. All include some religious aspect.
