Hello Ashlady,
Welcome to the forum and complements on your introductory post. Allow me to introduce myself (in a format often used in debate although this is not intended as debate or contradiction in any way).
Ashlady wrote:I am a Christian Lady, Jesus is my King, Lord and Savior.
I am a Non-Theist who considers Jesus to most likely to have been a preacher whose followers “deified him, invented “miracles (including “resurrection), wrote words for him, and used him as an icon for a splinter group from Judaism. These are my personal conclusions and opinions which I do NOT suggest that others adopt. Every person's convictions or beliefs are their own business, not mine.

I share your interest in gardening, and have large, productive gardens – but grow only what can be eaten. I live on small acreage in a rural area at the foot of a mountain surrounded by natural beauty.
Ashlady wrote:my fist Love is studying the Bible, and also the History and culture of the people of the bible.
I hope that you have interest in studying subjects in addition to the bible.
Ashlady wrote:I love to talk about the bible and discuss deferent opinions of the bible.
Although you probably read Forum Rules and Guidelines, you may not be aware that the DC&R forum (though owned and administered by a Christian and excellent debater) is NOT a “Christian Forum – but a place for people of all persuasions to exchange and debate ideas.
If we make claims or make statements we claim are true, we are REQUIRED by Forum Rules and honorable debate to substantiate what we say (with something other than “I think so or “The bible says so or (as recently occurred, “My sister says so).
Each sub-forum has its own rules and guidelines. The very active, “Christianity and Apologetics sub-forum guidelines very clearly state that the bible is considered no more authoritative than any other book.
Some of the other sub-forums are dedicated to theology / theistic discussions among believers without interference from non-believers (and where religious literature can be considered authoritative). These include Holy Huddle (Christians only) and Theology, Doctrine and Dogma (bible is considered authoritative).
Ashlady wrote:I've been married for 29years and we are planing a special trip for our 30th anniversary.
I have been married for fifty years – but not to the same woman. Several remarkable and unique women have shared their life with me. Those relationships were deeply rewarding, fulfilling, and happy; even though (or perhaps because) they did not last “until death.
Ashlady wrote:I've two grown daughters who are living on their own with their families now, and i've also a 16yr old and 10 yr old that are still at home.
I have a daughter and son who are probably about your age. They have sons and daughters who are in late twenties and thirties (and who have probably reproduced)
Ashlady wrote:I've learned that it's easier the second time around raising children, being more mature you learn to pick your battles and your more relaxed
I took steps to avoid having more children, and find that my thirty years of life beyond raising of children (and being job-free and obligation-free) have been wonderful.
