So here is a piece of news that may strike up a bit of debate
I haven't found anything regarding it on the net yet, maybe someone else will for me.
But anyway,
In London, they have cultured heart tissue artificially, by taking heart stem cells and stretching them to make heart valves. 3-5 years from now they plan is to test them in pigs because pigs hearts are of similar structure to human hearts. Eventually they will use them to replace faulty heart valves in humans to save many lives.
Further from that, they will plan to construct a whole heart from stem cells.
I know there will be many views for and against regarding this, so debate away as to whether this is right or wrong

Post #2I don't see anything wrong with this -- in fact I see this as terrific news. Is it the stem cell thing? Because this article says that they are adult stem cells taken from the patient's own bone marrow.

Yep thats the one.
I also think this is a great step forward in medicine.
Soon enough we'll have the ability to replace not only hearts, but livers, pancreas whatever.

It is a first class human tragedy that people of the earth who claim to believe in the message of Jesus, whom they describe as the Prince of Peace, show little of that belief in actual practice.

did anyone see '2057' on the discovery/ science channel?
The guy created a heart valve in very little time.
A german scientist also used a printer from the 80's to apply living tissue. You could have a new heart in a matter of days!
Think about it this way, 85% of all people expecting heart transplants DON'T get them. I'd be great if it changes soon.
