This forum used to have quite a few theologically liberal Christians debaters, but they seem to have all stopped participating. The theists remaining are all of the fundamentalist evangelical variety, which is fine, but it is a little stale addressing the same arguments and misconceptions over and over.
I miss discussions on history, theology and philosophy with informed, scholarly types who don’t necessarily think every word in the Bible is literal truth or that science/history/textual criticism are atheist conspiracies. Even informed fundamentalists (and we have quite a few here) can’t really get “off script†for obvious reasons.
