Holy Zeus, Batman! That was the cringiest clip I've seen in a long time. That said, what is the topic for debate?

Gender ideology is anti-science, anti truth.

Post #3Yeah, thanks for that, but the rule is - put a question for debate. Where's the Question here?
Also it reminded me strongly of this video, made a few years ago, when the Fedora apologetic was going on. Anyone remember that? Or recall what it was supposed to mean?

Re: Made a funny video about DNA, Origin of life, and Alienss
Post #4Ok. I seen enough. The animation is best dropped because it is false from the start. Not only have 'atheists' NOT lost the debates, Nor is the debate even about evolution But the average amateur apologist like myself, never mind the atheist icons, can rip ar part the debunked creationist arguments like so much DNA information or Micro but not macro.
The rebuttal is
Creationists (for this seems to be the bee in this particular bonnet) do not understand evolution, let alone the logic they try to apply to it.
Creationism is not scientifically valid, not only according to science but a court of law in Dover vs Kitzmiller - no doubt to be u overturned when the Supreme Court gets told to by creationist - controlled Maga.
Despite Creationists being obsessed by it, Evolution is irrelevant to the God - debate. Even if evolution was wrong, it would not (logically) leave God (name your own, anyway) as the default, no more than if evolution is right it disproves a god.
Though it does debunk Genesis of course, and that seems to be what this is about. It's why I say this is not about Christianity but Genesis - literalism, and people can accept evolution (as a proven fact) and still be Christians.
Yes, This video seems to be wasted effort, as it will only persuade those who are totally persuaded already. Those whose minds are still open will soon come across the refutation of all of these putrid Creationist argument, long since debunked.
Gotta admit the animation looks good and it's a better effort at hi - jacking the superhero genre for Christian propaganda than Scriptureman (q, don't v, if you can possibly avoid it). But it would be better if you applied your animation talents to education people in science evidence, not peddling creationist ignorance or lies.
Have a nice day
P.s skipping though it a bit more, i could almost think this was an atheist send - up of really bad and dishonest creationism (ET aliens created DNA is an atheist argument?) except most people don't know the arguments.

Post #5I still don't get the point of this video, not funny at all.

Post #6The point was made clear in the one I posted - which is uncannily similar to the one in the OP - the old apologetics (it is claimed) were refuted (in fact it is the Creationists apologetics that have been demolished, not the atheist ones) so a lot of new imaginary atheist polemical superheroes have to be produced in order to introduce new atheist apologetics.bridgetkeble wrote: ↑Tue Aug 13, 2024 4:36 am I still don't get the point of this video, not funny at all.
It is a nice little idea - if it isn't a cynical rip off of Dark matter's 'new theism', which i strongly suspect it is.
Funny, entertaining or not. The point (I guess) is wrong.
Dark matter's was not so much arguing that new arguments were needed (though it is true the old favorites are going down (Morality, pascal's wager, Ontological arguments, even substance dualism) but is mocking that short - lives but bewildering attempt to use the fedora hat as some kind of swipe against atheism.
The op ('fess up I didn't watch it all...animated anime gives me a headache) presumably doesn't have atheists using ....what, e.g a christian with a false nose as some kind of New Argument.
Fact is we beat the old arguments and we are more than ready for any New ones.
p.s oh yes, I did watch to the end, It was miserable, and grubby. It was almost as bad as Scriptureman. In fact, just the old polemics 'Atheistman says that everything came from nothing'. In fact the mucky old Christian stawmans dressed up as superheroes misleading kids to make sure they only ever listen to what true believers have to say.
It was a nice try, I'll give it that, but it is wrong, tacky, cynical, derivative and unimaginative. Kids, this atheist will say, are smarter than Bible wagglers want to believe. They ask questions, they do not like to be patronised or lied to, and they hate people who try to fool them.
Christians do; atheists don't.
Apart from that, ok.
