Is there any phenomenon that doesn't have a better mundane solution than "god did it"?
God has many claims associated with him, but they are all magical.
There are many counter-claims, all of them perfectly mundane and reasonable.
Is there anything that a god describes that there isn't a perfectly mundane claim with plenty of evidence supporting it, as opposed to a "god did it," with none?

Post #2"God did it" is an ever-receding claim made by religions that have an anthropomorphic godhead. Like Judaism, Christianity, and Islam and others ancient religions form the Mediterranean region.Willum wrote: Is there anything that a god describes that there isn't a perfectly mundane claim with plenty of evidence supporting it, as opposed to a "god did it," with none?
In the early days they attributed lighting, severe storms, volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, and even diseases to their angry God, or to demons. They even attributed birth defects to their Gods.
The problem is that all of those things have since been found to have natural causes that are basically "random". Obviously they are not actually "random" in the truest sense of the word since they are the result of specific conditions.
However, the fact is that every single item I mentioned above has since been shown to be a natural event.
So the theists have basically lost every claim they ever made about their jealous angry God.
They insist on keeping these superstitions alive anyway, by holding out that perhaps while God isn't responsible for all the things they used to charge God with, he could still be responsible for things that science hasn't yet explained.
It's an ever-receding apologetic argument for claims of the existence of an invisible anthropomorphic God that cannot be shown to exist.
But for some strange reason huge masses of humans continue to believe in these already-disproved superstitious claims of angry God who will condemn you if you don't do as he says.
IMHO, these religions are an embarrassment to humanity. They just refuse to give up, even after centuries of having been proven to be false.
It's understandable how people could have believed these things millennia ago before they had an understanding of how the natural world works. But to continue to believe in them today is to do nothing more than show a complete ignorance of the scientific explanations.
But theists are determined to carry on into this 21st century refusing to accept scientific truth.
