Alcoholism is 80 times worse than Terrorism

I just watched a video on how we are most likely to die. It's kind of interesting.

One thing it points out is that for every 1 person who dies from Terrorism 80 people will die from Alcoholism. Funny that no one is talking about the danger of Alcoholism in the presidential elections in the USA.

I'm quite sure that there are many other things that beat out Terrorism as well. Most likely auto accidents would be on the list, as well as cancer and heart attacks, etc.

Another interesting thing mentioned at about 2:25 in this video is that 80% of western terrorism is NOT due to Islamic Fundamentalists, but instead is due to Political Extremists, Nationalists, and Racial/Religious Supremacists!

That's 80% folks! In other words MOST of the terrorism in the USA has little or nothing to do with people like ISIS.

And they didn't even mention the percentage due to just plain crazy people. Clearly that's a factor too.

These are interesting stats. And I wonder how this all fits in with the current election campaigns. Donald Trump seems to think that blowing ISIS off the face of the Earth is going to put a dent in terrorism. But according to the information given in this video, he's still going to be left with 80% internal terrorism due to home-grown extremists. Including Racial/Religious Supremacists which he seems to be encouraging.

In any case I didn't mean for this post to be about Donald Trump. I just think the stats given in this video are quite interesting:

Your chances of dying in a plane crash are one in five million, but of dying in a car crash are one in ninety. But no: people think nothing of driving like a maniac to the airport to catch a flight so they can white-knuckle it for an hour or two, fearful of every bump.

The causalities of that 80% combined is less than that of the 9/11 attacks. This is a different level of terror we are talking about.
