Hello. First Day of School

Post by Inyati »

I am retired from 33 years of Federal Civil Service with duty stations in Denver, Colorado; Casper, Wyoming; and Helena, Montana. I performed enforcement actions with the US Environmental Protection Agency for the last 22 years. My last assignment was Remedial Project Manager at the Rocky Mountain Arsenal near Commerce City, Colorado. I retired in 2010. Returned home to Kentucky to pursue the vocation of Animal Husbandry. I have 80 acres of land on which I raise Purebred Registered Simmental Cattle.

I have been an Atheist since the age of 10. The concept that a deity with the means to create the Universe would enter into a covenant with mankind in the context outlined in the King James Version of the Bible does not resonate with my common sense, life experiences or logic.

I sought out Debating Christianity for entertainment and mental exercise.

Welcome! Hope to see you in the forums.

Society and its morals evolve and will continue to evolve. The bible however remains the same and just requires more and more apologetics and claims of "metaphors" and "symbolism" to justify it.

Prayer is like rubbing an old bottle and hoping that a genie will pop out and grant you three wishes.

There is much about this world that is mind boggling and impressive, but I see no need whatsoever to put it down to magical super powered beings.

Nice to meet you. I am a Sourdough living in the Land of the Midnight Sun. I am a theist and I do enjoy debating with atheists. I, too, have issues with the OT God. However, I find that is definitely not the only possible of model of God.
