Perhaps there should be a sub-forum (and a user group) for those who have direct communication from God. Those so gifted can discuss their special knowledge with one another and those of us who do not have direct communication with God can observe but not post.
This would allow "direct communication people" to express their thoughts away from debate threads (where personal anecdotes and testimonials are not appropriate) while still allowing them to claim whatever they wish.

God would have a lot of fun with that. He'd tell one person one thing and another person another thing and have them both accusing each other of being false Christians.
Society and its morals evolve and will continue to evolve. The bible however remains the same and just requires more and more apologetics and claims of "metaphors" and "symbolism" to justify it.
Prayer is like rubbing an old bottle and hoping that a genie will pop out and grant you three wishes.
There is much about this world that is mind boggling and impressive, but I see no need whatsoever to put it down to magical super powered beings.

And given that you are yourself a Christian, this is even more funny than usual. I like your post and Kenisaw's the best. Can't wait for DI to chip in with his two cents.otseng wrote: I suggest Random Ramblings.
Anyway, I back the creation of this sub-forum, whatever it comes to be called.
