If you look at when a child is young, at the age of 4, they take an education system which stimulates the left hemisphere of the brain and discriminates against the right hemisphere. Left brain hemisphere over-activity is associated with a hypothalamus/amygdala that is hyper active, and abnormal beta wave activity, which all are common with psychopaths and sociopaths.

So, when a child has that education system, the paradoxical/creative/para-psychological/intuitive aspect of their character, which is associated with the right hemisphere of the brain is veiled. Dyslexics in contrast to such people, are seen as foolish or dumb, but Einstein, Nikola Tesla and others who were dyslexic were genius level in contrast to those people.
So this biased education system causes an induced neurosis, because the linear aspect becomes hyperactive and used for logic, so the holistic aspect is veiled. Once that happens, there is a large scale of neurosis.

Neurosis is the intolerance of ambiguity - Sigmund Freud.
^ The right hemisphere of the brain is associated with paradox and creativity - ambiguity. Once that gets veiled on a large scale there are a lot of people who do not understand paradoxical works like the ancient texts in religion(s) and the intent of the constitution etc. Then there are people who use those for wars and that is quite deadly. Neurotics perhaps should not trust their instinct.
The effects of this large scale neurosis are enhanced craving, aggression and physical desire due to the hyperactive hypothalamus activity. Cravings which lead to compulsive masturbation, sadism/masochism, sociopathic tendencies, God complexes, continual desire for physical objects, backwards logic, linear thinking, etc.
After puberty, the effects of such discrimination start to manifest, though they do prior also. And what do you get? People with intense baser desire(s) and they have intense depression when those desires are not satisfied. Then you get an epidemic of kids who commit suicide due to that. The sense of time also becomes extremely powerful, and emotional expression extremely high(exuberance).
The intuitive aspect is veiled because of that, and wisdom is replaced by knowledge, thus making the info useless.

^ That latter verse is relative to the strong sense of time. The way to reverse the effects of the powerful neurosis, would be to submit, fear not, to overcome death. Then the cerebral powerhouse will be unveiled.
He considered that God was able even to raise him from the dead, from which, figuratively speaking, he did receive him back. - Hebrews 11:19
^ Isaac submitted to death and did not fear, and then his cerebral powerhouse was unveiled more than prior. He overcame the fear of death, the most powerful signal against someone with neurosis. Also see what the word of the Lord expressed to Abram.

^This is the illusion that, KNOWLEDGE will make someone smart. Knowledge does not. Because they believed that knowledge would make them smarter, they died mentally/spiritually.
This goes back to - ''but from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat from it you will surely die." - Genesis 2:17
^ Refers to mental/spiritual psychosis. The fruit looked good and appealing and useful for attaining wisdom, but did the opposite of give wisdom.
Furthermore: Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you thinks that he is wise in this age, he must become foolish, so that he may become wise. - 1 Corinthians 3:18.
^ Side effects of having the paradox mentality veiled would be having a know it all approach and assuming all info to be at face value. So, thinking in reverse when neurotic would help unveil the subconscious.

The education I received way back when (*) covered both hemispheres. There was the mechanics of reading and writing of course and plenty of math and science. But there was also literature and appreciation of art and music. These classes were taken just as seriously as the 'hard' ones. History was sort of both. Names and dates and events of course, but also a serious attempt was made to have us imagine the way things were and how they all connected together. Definitely exercising the right brain.
What kids today are taught I have no idea. From talking to them I suspect it is next to nothing.
* Not to date myself but one of my chores as a kid was walking the dinosaur. I developed some really big muscles from carrying that pooper scooper.

Well, I personally in my class was taught to look at philosopher's and debate philosophy. Due to the epidemic of neurotics people weren't able to detect philosophical fallacy's and when I saw debates they were ad hominem attacks rather than ones based on finding truth. The fact is, society, even mainstream music discriminates against the right hemisphere of the brain. If society discriminated against the left hemisphere we would have people with aphasia, what should be done is equally teaching left and right, by implementing both teaching styles when people are young, so we don't get an epidemic of people who can only play devil's advocate and can actually understand complexity.

If there is someone with left brain over stimulated, then we have a person who acts more than they think. If the right is over stimulated, then there is someone who thinks a lot but does not act on those thoughts. If you have them closer to equal, then there we got someone who thinks and acts almost equally (the right would take charge).
The difference here, is heaven and hell. When the left is dominant, people become inclined to following based desire(s) and when the neurosis becomes severe they can be labelled sociopath, psychopath etc. This madness has been going on for thousands of years(by madness I mean the spreading of neurosis) and has plagued humanity for many many years. The difference is truly heaven and hell, and the hyper active hypothalamus signals are so off that, you get kids who commit suicide when they are made fun of or bullied, and you also get a bunch of kids who are materialistic, scientists who ignore the para-psychological and supernatural/quantum-physics, and are more detail oriented then principal oriented . The agape love which was preached by Yehoshua(who is called Jesus) get's suppressed harder the deeper the neurosis.

Post #4I don't necessarily agree that these are solely left brain activities. This can depend entirely on the person who is doing these things. You can be creative and artistic in any of these things. Having said this, I do tend to agree that teachers tend to teach these things from a left brain perspective. Which actually explains why so many people end up hating mathematics.
As far as your attempts to correlate these things with Bible verses, it just sounds like preaching to me. I'm sure a similar comparison could be made with any an all religious paradigms. Buddhism and Taoism also stress the intuitive side of things versus the purely analytical worldview. So this is certainly not unique to the Biblical religions.
In fact, even secular psychologists endorse mental exercises to engage the right cerebral hemisphere. So this isn't even unique to spiritual philosophies.

Although, my teachers, advisers, and counselors, have always told me throughout my entire academic experience that I have a very profound imagination and creativity.
So I was probably spending a lot of time in my right brain in spite of the fact that they didn't necessarily encourage this.

Yes the school system, mainstream music and other worldly values are biased towards the right hemisphere. Creative people are viewed as crazies/idiots and altruistic ideals are viewed as useless even though society factually craps on itself, to paraphrase, over green pieces of paper. When the left hemisphere is overly stimulated you get a bunch of kids who commit suicide over being bullied or who go on mass murders or have extreme high sexual desires and get into riots etc. The extreme left hemisphere conditioning is dangerous and sociopath's have that extreme left brain dominance.

Not for nothing, but as someone trying to make my way through university, being told I'm being taught 'next to nothing' could potentially be irritating on a bad day.
