Hello,
In the movie, The Ten Commandments, pharaoh decides to kill the 1st born Israelites. Before he can God kills the 1st born Egyptians. In exodus it's presented as God's plan instead of being motivated by pharaohs plan. Are there any other accounts which would indicate that the plaque was motivated by pharaoh?

Re: The tenth plaque
Post #2So far as I know, that scene in the 1956 movie was an invention of Cecil B. DeMille's scriptwriters. It is notable, however, that Pharaoh did decree the mass murder of all Hebrew newborn males at the beginning of Exodus. More than one commentator has found that a significant connection.sleepyhead wrote: Hello,
