Many people have debated about this, but I have not found any conclusive
answer yet. Is masturbation sinful?

It is debatable, for sure.
Post #3I've seen VERY long threads on this issue.
And I'm certain that you'll have to find the answer within yourself. Almost everyone has a (personally moral) view on this, but few definitive answers outside of scientific evidence actually exist.
ANYTHING can be (or become) sinful, when it comes to what we might do as human beings.
IMHO, if you are truly a believer, this (among other things "sexual") is best left between yourself and God.

Anyone that looks on a woman with lust has committed adultery with her in his heart.
Did Jesus foresee Playboy mag and the resulting porno business explosion?
And what is the definition of "nocturnal emissions" that leaves a man "impure?"
"Onanism" comes from the pages of the Bible.
Or, are we on the slippery slope of licensing every imagineable and unimagineable sexual act?

It looks as if the "nocturnal emissions" are on the same level of impurity as women's menstruation.Leviticus 15 wrote:Now if a man has a seminal emission, he shall bathe all his body in water and be unclean until evening. When a woman has a discharge, if her discharge in her body is blood, she shall continue in her menstrual impurity for seven days; and whoever touches her shall be unclean until evening. Everything also on which she lies during her menstrual impurity shall be unclean, and everything on which she sits shall be unclean. Anyone who touches her bed shall wash his clothes and bathe in water and be unclean until evening.

It is rather clear to me that the sin of Onan was disobedience not masturbation. The reference to "Onanism" is off-topic and irrelevant.Genesis 38 wrote:But Er, Judah's firstborn, was evil in the sight of the LORD, so the LORD took his life. Then Judah said to Onan, "Go in to your brother's wife, and perform your duty as a brother-in-law to her, and raise up offspring for your brother." Onan knew that the offspring would not be his; so when he went in to his brother's wife, he wasted his seed on the ground in order not to give offspring to his brother. But what he did was displeasing in the sight of the LORD; so He took his life also.

I really don't believe that God intended any of us to be policing any other person's thoughts, feelings or inclinations. It is easy and "comfortable" for people to look outside of their own weaknesses to criticize or condemn others.
I doubt that anyone is completely innocent of impure thoughts, and many have certainly justified what they believe is sexually-correct.
Masturbation, and it's myriad "parameters", is certainly not covered specifically in the Bible. I'm not saying that "anything" goes, just reminding people that they should check THEMSELVES before looking at others; and then being very gentle and compassionate when addressing the issue of human-sexuality.

Well, put it this way. If God didn't want us to masturabate, then he wouldn't have created humans with that (thought?) in mind.
Did God create humans, or did humans create God?
God gives us the freedom of choosing what religion to believe in, and then sends prophets to convince us to believe in him. Strange, no?

Haven't you read Genesis? God wants humans to sin. How can God show his mercy and lovingkindness to us unless we sin and fall short of his glory?lifeisboring wrote:Well, put it this way. If God didn't want us to masturabate, then he wouldn't have created humans with that (thought?) in mind.

God is unfairly merciful.
If you want to blame someone or thing for falling short of God's glory then blame Adam.
Also Angels fall short of God as well.
And frankly i am happy that i am NOT as righteous as God.
Because God wouldn't be called "God" would he?
