Prayer Requests

Post by otseng »

OK, let's try something. If you have a prayer request, start a new thread in the Holy Huddle Room with a subject of "Prayer Request - (insert your request)". Or you can put it in the topic description.

Then people will pray online for your request through replies to your request.

To keep the number of prayer requests manageable, don't ask for prayer requests for someone you don't personally know or some distant relative that has a headache. Use your best judgement as to what prayer requests you want to ask for.

OK, let's lift each other up and help carry one anothers' burdens. :P

Confused does need prayer. And she is in a difficult situation right now. And if you could pray that God could give her peace, that would be great. And if God could somehow resolve her situation, even better. I think if God's love could be demonstrated to her personally, God's love could win her over.

I've been in a little debate with her about sacrifice. I hope in an effort to win an argument, as we all do, that I don't say anything to cause her to reject Christ. I'll keep her in prayer.

I am sorry to enounce that Confused has joined the usergroup "Atheist".....
It seamed like she was really close to the truth.....
now when I look att her post's, it "Burns" to se the word Atheist....
I know should not get personal about someone I know so little about... but I can't help feeling a deep sorrow....
I will not stop praying for her....
One love, one heart
Lets get together and feel alright
One love, hear my plea, one heart
Give thanks and praise to the lord, and I will feel alright

True words. I feel that dispite he "athiest" label, she is far more open minded than some who take this title. There is something about her which gives me hope. I don't know what but it is still there none the less. I would not be surprised to give her a hug in our next existence. There is still life to be lived after all.

Even if she does stick with her new found non-beliefs, she is still far more respectful and tollerant than others who combine their disbelief with scorn and resentment for those who do believe. I admire her tenacity with her search. I admire her courage for truthfully opening herself up to the deep feelings within herself and how they have affected her in the past and continue to affect her.

Honestly if she had begun her search without the "help" our fellow Christians offered at the various chuches she went to . . . tapping choice words under my fingers . . . then she would have certainly had a different experience during her search.

At any rate . . . dispite her new lable, I still admire her and I am continually impressed with the manner in which she is able to see through many of the pointless and bogus arguments presented by both sides to a much deeper truth. Her most recent threads are by far the best she has created and in my opinion are some of the best and most thought provoking on the forum.
It is a first class human tragedy that people of the earth who claim to believe in the message of Jesus, whom they describe as the Prince of Peace, show little of that belief in actual practice.

now.. I don't want to be seen as a little tattle tale...
neither do I really want to fill the prayer rom anything but prayer requests..

but I was looking threw some posts on this site and I stumbled across "The A rom"...
I saw Confused's newest post (Feeling of emptiness) and it made me sad... (really sad  )...
not only for Confused, but also for the others that answered her in such a way as they did....

I' m sorry if I upset anybody with all this concern, but I cant help it...

So this is my prayer request: pray for the non believers on this site... [-o< pray that somehow God will open their eyes.... and please pray for Confused.

thank you

I agree we should pray for the unbelievers on this site. But I also believe that we should pray for the believers on this site. So that our mouths be filled with wisdom and the grace of God will flow through this message board. Hopefully to help convert others and if not to help convert then at least to convey the message of friendly and loving christians who are willing to help others out.

I hadn't see this thread until now and I have to admit, the tears are free falling. I have never seen such a blatant display of love and acceptance of someone who is mostly a stranger to you all. I don't care what people say of studies of the ineffectiveness of prayers in sick people, the effectiveness in those who are hurting emotionally can never be measured and from these few posts here, I don't think I could ever say that anyone displayed a better example of love for another than what I have seen here. I don't know what kind of response mom had for this, but you all have showed more compassion than even moms family ever has. It renews my hope that someday, somehow mom will find her way to God and learn to love on her journey there.

I know none of you know the circumstances occurring right now, but let me say that the gift you have given me here can never be repaid. I thank God for the day mom found this forum and I thank all of you for this. My heart has never been so touched. Bless you all.
Its all just one big puzzle.
Find out where you fit in.
