I would a list of all posts I was recently quoted in. It would be much easier to then be able to reply to people that took the time to reply to me.

If you click on profile, it shows all threads you have replied to recently.

He is talking about posts in which he was quoted.

Although I'm not particularly skilled in computer work, short of extremely complicated search algorithms or completely changing the quote system, I don't think there's anything that can be done.

This is a good idea. But, it might be a bit complicated to implement. I'll see what I can do. However, it'll probably be awhile before I can get to it.

I tried to do this in a SQL query and it takes way too long. In order to make it fast, it's going to involve some heavy programming. And it's not worth the effort for me to even try this.

But, there's one way to do the search right now. Use Google.

Search for this:
"wootah wrote" site:debatingchristianity.com
And then limit it by a time period. So, for example this limits it by one week.

Some forums like CARM use the HORRIBLE "threaded" mode. I think thats what you are looking for.

However it sort of removes you from the overall discussion and if someone comments on someone who replied to you, you wont see it.

Some people like it, but I find they get lost and tend to miss a lot.

Another option is to subscribe to threads, then you get notifications with links.

Nice. I'll try that.
