i'm a single mother, christian for three years and rather passionate about God as presented in the old testament.
i suppose i'd be considered a charismatic, liking the idea that a god takes a personal interest in his followers and am more apt to associate all of the "happy coincidences" in my life to Him, rather than random luck.
I do worship one God, but believe there are many out there, think that humanity is our greatest gift and like the idea that we have a free will to decide how to live in this world.
I've had a few people point out that some of my understandings could be considered heretical, i guess that would make sense coming from an occult upbringing, most of my years practicing a variety of witchcrafts, being "saved" online by a messianic in England and the only fellowship I've had was a small, church free home group that met Sunday mornings in a coffee shop.
supernatural experiences have always been part of my life, but eventually discovered the simplicity of appeasing one supernatural intelligence that influences my life rather than trying to figure out how to satisfy multiple expectations, have difficulties on finding a church that appeals to me and spend too much time thinking.
i'm an apprentice goldsmith/jewelery maker, a typical artist in both nature and demeanor, prefer forging to fabrication, chalk and charcoal over graphite, acrylics over oil, copper to brass, can't stand nickel, my punctuation sucks but my spelling and vocabulary are sublime and i enjoy writing both poetry and prose.

my only unhappiness comes from men, i take it to mean He prefers me to not have one.AkiThePirate wrote:Welcome to the forum!
I'm wondering whether you also ascribe the more 'unhappy' coincidences to your Deity, though?
Have a good day!

everything else are just poor choices on my part, my lack of serious misery and tragedy does make me wonder though...is it normal for people to be more happy with their life than dissatisfied?

thank you for the welcomeotseng wrote:Welcome to the forum! Glad to have you on board.
i'm happy to have found a place where i can discuss my occasionally discombobulated and too often contrary thoughts, ideally gaining some understanding about exactly what i experience and why i experience it.
i like your forum.
