I wish I can debate more often too. But I always constantly wonder, how are you all able to spend so much time debating? There's always so many things in my "regular" life that keeps me busy. And it's been more busy lately since we're trying at work to release our code to production before the end of the year.Lucia wrote: 2010 Debater Who You Wish Posted More Often: Otseng. I'll add some more recognitions:
2010 Most Generous Token Giver: JoeyKnothead
2010 Best Newbie Moderator: Lucia
2010 Most Encouraging Supporter of the forum: Zzyzx, cnorman18
2010 Most Reasonable Muslim: Murad
2010 Master of the bbcode: McCulloch
Re: A place to recognize other Users.
Post #6Well, in my case I only work part time and do social stuff on some nights and weekends. I have a lot of free time. You on the other hand have a family, a job and a forum to run, so it makes sense you can't debate more.otseng wrote:I wish I can debate more often too. From Post 2:
My awards:
Wittiest to the point of devious: McCulloch, either I see jokes where he doesn't mean 'em, or I get 'em.
Perspective perspectiver: cnorman18, always willing to see other angles, and offer compelling insight yae or nae.
Straightforward and ain't gonna beat around the bush and can't help if it upsets your momma: Grumpy and Zzyzx tie.
Source critic: Goat. He picks sources apart like a buzzard on a day old carcass.
Compelling theologian in their specific religion: myth-one.com has made me see the light of his take on things.
Best agree to disagreer: WinePusher. We're pretty far apart on a lot of things, but he never goes out of his way to just be argumentative or dismissive when we engage.
Just about the stupidest, most useless and goofy debater: whoever got queasy reading that category
I'd like to also point out that early on here otseng sent me a PM that really affected my understanding and has had a great impact on my dealings with theists here and "in the world". Though it wasn't this year, I have kept it in mind to this day.
I sure 'preciate you calling me friendly and all, and don't think I don't mean it, but I'll be doggone if I'll have you call me affable right here in front of everybody. I jest.WinePusher wrote: 2010 Most Affable/Friendly Debater: JoeyKnothead
