About Me

Post by Ernestalice »

Hi everyone. I'm from Indonesia but now studying about Media Art in Japan. So maybe you all can guess my age, which I think doesn't have as much experiences as everyone else here.

I'm a Christian. But living in Indonesia, that has 5 religions, and over than 3 years now living in Japan, that most of the people are atheists here; the circumstance makes me think of many things and questions. And I found this site. So I hope we can share our opinions:D

Oh, and I have interest, too, in Psychology and Philosophy. Pleased to make your acquaintance O:)

I used to be a Christian. Which particular flavor of Christian?

Do you find it difficult to be dogmatic about your religion in such a multi-cultural environment?

Questioning and thinking are good things.
Examine everything carefully; hold fast to that which is good.

“What do you think science is? There is nothing magical about science. It is simply a systematic way for carefully and thoroughly observing nature and using consistent logic to evaluate results. So which part of that exactly do you disagree with? Do you disagree with being thorough? Using careful observation? Being systematic? Or using consistent logic?

Hey McCulloch, goat and Zzyzx, thx for the replies :D
I've said that I'm a Christian, but precisely I'm Catholic.

I don't really think so. I believe in Christ and His teachings. But even in Christianity itself, there're many differences when talking about God, which sometimes questioning me. I used to question my faith, though I return to Christ in the end of it.

Catholic, I presume.
