He didn't have an explosive vest, but he was probably squashed to jelly after he committed martyrdom to kill Semitic men, women, and children in the first recorded (Judges) suicide attack. Samson deliberately demolished a place of worship full of Palestinian families and was in fact accompanied by a little boy. The civilian casualties were horrendous. He's still considered a hero.
Another suicide warrior was David's closest friend Jonathan (loved him more than women, he said). Rather than be captured by the Palestinians, this otherwise faultless man fell on his sword. So is suicide a mortal sin? What is so different about Samson and Palestinians who do the same with better weapons?

Post #2The people Samson killed were enemies who had enslaved him. The Palestinans ofter kill innocent people who have done nothing to hurt them or their people.DeBunkem wrote:What is so different about Samson and Palestinians who do the same with better weapons?

Post #3Samson was (a myth, actually) a Hebrew terrorist who killed indiscriminately as he did in the "Delilah and the riddle" mass murder. A temple would be full of civilians, not soldiers, who had no part in Samson's capture. Palestinians have been enslaved and humiliated in worse ways than Samson. Thousands languish with no charges in Israeli jails. Gazans live in a prison ghetto while Israel continues to build settlements on their land and shell Gaza daily. Even Palestinian Christians are being forced out of their homes by the Zionists.theophilus40 wrote:The people Samson killed were enemies who had enslaved him. David copied this terrorist pattern by murdering and castrating hundreds of Philistine civilians to present the severed members as a trophy to king Saul.
