“I john looked and saw what appeared to be�This verse precedes a list of things john admitted to seeing on the day of the lord,right?ok now “I Dana saw what appears to be the Exact same faces.a lions face,a calfs face,mans face and an eagles face.�what made john a prophet and me an an idiot?I am the first since john who had exactly identical visions as real to us and i have scientific proof of the faces.i can not prove my out of body experiences except one with north korea.so my debate question is this,what made me duplicate johns story in my life as really a true episode.?why can no one see a prophetic event happening to me?yes it seems i am insane dont it?not an answer.i have wrote all the churches,seen the dead as real event and know the wings and eyes on the beasts represent satellite views of our planet.should i hide my story?

I will attempt to answer the question:

Different claims require different standards of evidence. If I told you that it may be a cloudy day tommorrow and that you may need an umbrella, you might heed my advice. If I told you that tommorow the angel Moroni would appear to you and give you instructions to write a new holy text and start a ministry, you would laugh at me.

Both are predicitons about the future, one is miraculous though while the former was not. When being told something that sounds fantastic and implausible one's natural reaction is to respond with a certain level of incredulity. Given what we know about the Bible (clear cases as mistakes, omissions, forgeries, and attempts by early Christians to falsify documents) it is much more likely that Jesus did not literally fly up into the sky in zombie form than he did. Simply because a book "says it" is not good enough evidence for me. There are still miraculous claims today, I don't believe any of them either.

Do I have a bias against the idea of miracles? Yes.

Is that an unfair bias? No. It's justified - and recommended that everyone investigate extraordinary claims before accepting them on faith. Otherwise, we would be believing all kinds of crazy stuff. There's a reason why cults work, people are gullible.
