I'll make this quick and won't take up too much of your time.

I have been visiting this site for awhile and have now just joined up today.

I look forward to debating with the lot of you and i hope you'll forgive me for my lack of knowledge and experience in certain fields of christianity. So my hope, through this forum, is to gain knowledge and be able to defend and argue for christianity, so you may rearely see me post, then again maybe not. My english is good, but not great so don't hesitate in correcting my grammar or spelling.

I am a christian, and have been for the past 19 years of my life.

Thank-you for having me in this site guys and i look forward to the challenges and knowledge you will all impart on me.

Hi Hammer and welcome!

You don't have to be hugely knowledgable, but if you can reason and think things through logically, then you will find a niche here, I think. Beware though, you will be challenged on your views. :)

Society and its morals evolve and will continue to evolve. The bible however remains the same and just requires more and more apologetics and claims of "metaphors" and "symbolism" to justify it.

Prayer is like rubbing an old bottle and hoping that a genie will pop out and grant you three wishes.

There is much about this world that is mind boggling and impressive, but I see no need whatsoever to put it down to magical super powered beings.

Hi Hammer,

You certainly will get an education here, that is for sure.
“What do you think science is? There is nothing magical about science. It is simply a systematic way for carefully and thoroughly observing nature and using consistent logic to evaluate results. So which part of that exactly do you disagree with? Do you disagree with being thorough? Using careful observation? Being systematic? Or using consistent logic?

We can help you rectify that lack.

Some of us will do our best to rectify that too. ;)
