Introduction: Hello, everyone!

Hey, I'm new to the site. I joined to get a better handle on the Christian-Nonchristian debate, because I tried that on Youtube, and it can be kind of slow-paced. Hopefully here, conversation will flow a bit more. From that, I managed to gain a fair knowledge of Christian theology.

Also, I've noticed an almost polarization between free thought on one side and Christianity on the other in most public forms, maybe because they're traditionally seen as polar opposites. I'm spiritual, but my time as an atheist (today I consider myself a Satanist) did teach me how to evaluate claims, so I hope to play a little devil's advocate (no pun intended) for both sides.

Looking forward to jumping into the fray!

Welcome Munchskreem. These forums can be quite fast passed, and quite informative.

I just gotta hear about this whole Satanism deal.

Hi, welcome to the forum.

I hope you enjoy your stay.

When you say you are spiritual, what do you mean?
''''What I am is good enough if I can only be it openly.''''

''''The man said "why you think you here?" I said "I got no idea".''''

''''Je viens comme un chat
Par la nuit si noire.
Tu attends, et je tombe
Dans tes ailes blanches,
Et je vole,
Et je coule
Comme une plume.''''

Hey, Fallibleone.

It's a very vague, general spirituality, closer to the way a Taoist might describe their beliefs. More of a view of the universe as a totality, and how to connect to that totality experientially, as weird as that sounds. It's really a work-in-progress though.

I'm thinking that may have been in bad taste as you are speaking to a satanist. :D

Would it be acceptable to tell Christians "May Satan continue to guide you"?

I'd consider it a huge compliment, but my guess is that they would not.

I consider blessings from Christians to be compliments since I know they're in good spirits, though they're not the most appropriate way of complimenting me.

Welcome Munchskreem. I look forward to reading about your point of view on issues.

Society and its morals evolve and will continue to evolve. The bible however remains the same and just requires more and more apologetics and claims of "metaphors" and "symbolism" to justify it.

Prayer is like rubbing an old bottle and hoping that a genie will pop out and grant you three wishes.

There is much about this world that is mind boggling and impressive, but I see no need whatsoever to put it down to magical super powered beings.
