Apologetics is Fun!

Post by POI »

Apologetics: reasoned arguments or writings in justification of something, typically a theory or religious doctrine.

For Debate: Please prove Jesus was not the devil in disguise. I say Jesus was actually the devil. I'll state my case below...

*****************************

This topic is created to demonstrate how any believer, in virtually any applied supernaturalness, can assert many things which cannot be falsified.

Below is my case. But being that apologetics is fun, I too have the right to pivot and move the goalposts, as needed, to retain my position: :approve:

P1: The devil exists
P2: The devil has superhuman abilities
P3: The devil's aim is to deceive humans. What better way to do this than to get millions/billions of humans to worship a false God, which breaks the 1st Commandment.
P4: God is not currently suppressing the devil

Okay, this should be enough to get us started. So please prove that Jesus was not the devil all along...
In case anyone is wondering... The avatar quote states the following:

"I asked God for a bike, but I know God doesn't work that way. So I stole a bike and asked for forgiveness."

Or maybe we are all in a simulation :)
That is possible but how does it answer my questions put to you? 8-)
Here..
William wrote: Sun Feb 09, 2025 5:36 pm where is the true path? And how do you distinguish it from the deception woven into the very fabric of our seeking?
Yes that is the question. How does being in a simulation answer the questions put to you?
I figured you would get my point... The point being, is there is really no way to 100% validate any claim. Heck, maybe you do not even exist, and you are a figment of my imagination. This thread was created to challenge Christians, and their position regarding "Jesus". If you wish to hijack the thread, and pose the question 'what is truth?', then I can give back as much as you give :)

I am adding depth to the thread. And having fun while doing so.

I agree that there is never 100% to any type claim. So to answer the OP then, truth is optional so believe what you will.

Unjustified Fact Claim(UFC) example - belief (of any sort) based on personal subjective experience. (Belief-based belief)
Justified Fact Claim(JFC) Example, The Earth is spherical in shape. (Knowledge-based belief)
Irrefutable Fact Claim (IFC) Example Humans in general experience some level of self-awareness. (Knowledge-based knowledge)

Also - If Jesus actually is YHVH this means that there would be no false worship of God per the commandment...however this also means that the idea Lucifer is Jesus also means that Lucifer would be YHVH.

Not sure how you missed the point... Jesus states he is the way. Jesus states all go through him for salvation. If he is an imposture, then he is not the way. Jesus then leads you to a dead end.
