Jesus is God - Mark 5

19 Jesus did not let him, but said, “Go home to your own people and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you.” 20 So the man went away and began to tell in the Decapolis how much Jesus had done for him. And all the people were amazed.
Jesus restores a demon-possessed man and tells the man to go home and tell people what the Lord has done for him and how the Lord has had mercy on him. The man then went home and said what Jesus had done for him.

Was Jesus referring to himself as Lord, or did Jesus mean for the man to praise God?

Did the man forget to praise the Lord or did he praise the Lord when he praised Jesus?

If the man was incorrect and praised Jesus, rather than the Lord, why didn't Mark mention this?

Isn't this story in the Bible more proof that Jesus is God?

edit:

Would Jesus want to receive praise rather than God?

Proverbs 18:17 The one who states his case first seems right, until the other comes and examines him.

Well for this thread it looks like we are both on the Jesus is God train. We can do the trinity somewhere else.
Sure, we can, why not?
I can't speak for Wootah OneJack but maybe because the OP is "Jesus is God in Mark Chapter 5, and we are of the same belief.
Are you a Monotheist, Capbook? Or a Trinitarian like Wootah?
I believe in the Trinity, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are one in the nature of being God.
But it is not the OP here.
Alright, find somewhere else if you want to pursue your case.

I believe there are already forums been made about the subject.
I just don't know where, if you will we can go there.

Proving the Trinity require Bible verses, but the problem is you were taught that the Bible is untrustworthy.
We are two sides in a coin.

That’s the dilemma of the Triune worshippers, their focus and object of faith are unrealistic when converted to practical application.

Majority believe Jesus from Scriptures, not from untested spirit, but as for me already uncovered as it reject even the words of Jesus in the Bible. I can present verses that proves the Trinity, but to the unbeliever of the Word of God, it doesn't matter to them.

OneJack, Capbook - I created a thread discussing modalism and one aspect of it I certainly struggle with.

True, majority today believe Jesus by and through the scriptures and this was also the same mode of belief in the days of the old when the mainstream believe God and the attainment of their salvation by and through the scriptures alone. The so called dominant authorities in the world of religious society - the Pharisees - began to be apprehensive when the Son of God

The so called dominant authorities in the world of religious society - the Pharisees - were greatly disturbed when God began to proclaim, through the man called the Son of God, the good news from heaven. The Son declared that salvation had come to people and would happen if they drew near and followed the Lord Jesus Christ. The Pharisees were deeply troubled and enraged that they would be surpassed by this man-named Jesus, who they perceived was just a man who claimed equality with God, and this led them to plot against the Lord Jesus Christ, resulting in His death on the cross of Calvary.

To this day, the Pharisees still exist - the teachers of scripture then, the pastors [they call themselves] today, who teach the Bible to people. Nothing has changed, then or now, in how people face God, whom they manipulate and bring to life with their unceasing recitation of biblical verses to declare what, who, and how God exists and lives eternally.

That’s the Pharisees’ way of proclaiming their religious doctrines to the Jews during their time - the Law is the authority in all truth.

Yes, but it's not only the Pharisees that recites the Scriptures, the Bible Jesus too, to preach the Good News of salvation by faith.

Luk 4:17  And the book of the prophet Isaiah was handed to Him. And He opened the book and found the place where it was written,
Luk 4:18  "THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD IS UPON ME, BECAUSE HE ANOINTED ME TO PREACH THE GOSPEL TO THE POOR. HE HAS SENT ME TO PROCLAIM RELEASE TO THE CAPTIVES, AND RECOVERY OF SIGHT TO THE BLIND, TO SET FREE THOSE WHO ARE OPPRESSED,
Luk 4:19  TO PROCLAIM THE FAVORABLE YEAR OF THE LORD."
Luk 4:20  And He closed the book, gave it back to the attendant and sat down; and the eyes of all in the synagogue were fixed on Him.
Luk 4:21  And He began to say to them, "Today this Scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing."

The Scriptures is not only the "Torah" but also the Prophets and the Psalms. All speaks about the Bible Jesus' sacrifice to offer salvation to those who'll believe.

Luk 24:44  Now He said to them, "These are My words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things which are written about Me in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled."
Luk 24:45  Then He opened their minds to understand the Scriptures,
Luk 24:46  and He said to them, "Thus it is written, that the Christ would suffer and rise again from the dead the third day,
Luk 24:47  and that repentance for forgiveness of sins would be proclaimed in His name to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem.

Bear in mind that Jesus is the owner and author of the scriptures, and the only authority who has the right to teach the same to the people.

Jesus knows which words are His own utterances in the scriptures.
