What do you regret about your youth ?

I am fifteen and just interested in what you regret most about your youth and more importantly what you regret not doing. I have probably posted this in the wrong subforum, even wrong website :P but I just want to hear what you have to say to get a better perspective and learn from your mistakes :).

Cheers Harry

Ooh congratulations :)
I haven't even gotten to college yet, so you see what I mean when I say I regret wasting time... I really did. I sure had a lot of fun though, so I guess we made polar opposite "mistakes".

Oh, I'm definitely planning on going, hopefully soon. It will probably suck to be older than everyone else, but hey, someone pointed out to me that I'll be able to party for most of my college years without ever having to worry about legal repercussions :D

If you party correctly, there will be legal repercussions :)

The biggest thing I regret about my youth is losing it.

At least physically.

So which part of that exactly do you disagree with? Do you disagree with being thorough? Using careful observation? Being systematic? Or using consistent logic?

In those cases, escaping from the legal repercussions is half the fun!

Mine must of been being persuaded by my Brother to swear at my Grandma as a child, next minute she outside my house. This big Irish women chasing me and my brothers around the garden. What a regret I got a right ass tanning off her. So did my brothers, funny thinking about it now though lol

Ahh, this is one of my few skills. I do it well.

Don't beat yourself up, we're all jerks, really.
But yeah, my first girlfriend was quite a mistake, and most of my friends would say the same about theirs.
But Kharma loves me, a few years later when I was about 20 and getting ready for a party (looking quite great, if I do say so myself) he delivered my pizza!
THAT'S AWESOME!!! SOUNDS LIKE A MOVIE :)

Besides from concurring with pazuzu I did not study any science subject beyond the age of 13. This is my regret. I dropped all sciences for the reason my science classes were really "boring". At the very same time I lapped up every science progamme going on TV. I loved Horizon. This programme first introduced me to quantum theory around the age 11. It gave me butterflies to think about wave-particles and cats not dead or alive. Even earlier I remember explaining to my primary school class mates why when we looked up at the stars we were looking back in time because the light from the stars took millions of years to get here. I was like 9. Yet somehow I was unable to connect the awesome mystery my TV introduced me to with the stuff they were trying to introduce but teaching badly at school. I regret not seeing beyond my teachers. They took a kid with a reasonable IQ and capacity for abstract thinking and a thirst for mystery and science and managed to get that kid hating every science lesson.

I also regret not giving my religious education teachers a harder time. :eyebrow:

Not being involved more at school, both socially and academics. I was so wrapped up in my own world that I missed out on friendships that would have lasted. If I would have applied myself just a little more I could have had a 4.0 and graduated far higher in my class, opening different opportunities for me.
