Guys I need to ask for some prayers if you could.
When I was 13 I became "saved".
When I was 15 I became angry at God and became agnostic.
I am now coming back around to the christian faith but I feel like I can't believe in this stuff.. I read the bible, i try... I mean i don,t know what to do. I'm forcing myself to try to believe in God. I keep talking with other christians about this but they can't really relate and just tell me to have faith.
It's hard to have faith when you havn't felt God in two years. I mean even when I think about it I don't know if I just created this emotion event in my mind and came to God with a trick I played on myself. I've been trying so hard but I don;t know what to do...
Did I ever know God?
Why can't I feel him there anymore?
What do I do?
Where is my God?

In viewing the responses to your dilemma, I have noticed some good and encouraging advise from others.
First, let me state that I have an extremely difficult problem with “organized religion”, and their prearranged answers to life’s problems.
I have been a Born-Again Baptized in the Holy Spirit Pentecostal Christian for 30 years, and can fill approximately 100 pages of this sites space in relating to you my experiences. However, let’s start with your original request for help.
Amadeus mentioned “Footprints” which I feel is very appropriate – if you’ve never read it or wish, I can post it for you to read.
Now, for what it’s worth, let me respond with my $0.02.
Christianity, “True” Christianity to me in getting involved, rolling up your sleeves, getting down in the trenches when a brother or sister in Christ is hurting. It means taking and spending the time to hear their cry for help, praying with and for them. Encouraging the brethren to pray also – and this does not mean telling everything, just to say he / she needs your prayers for strength and guidance.
Let’s understand that Satin is miserable, and as the old saying goes “misery loves company”. Therefore he is going to do everything in his power to make your life as miserable and difficult as possible as you seek the face of God. He is going to throw up as many roadblocks as he can to get you discouraged to the point where you just say I can’t deal with this anymore, and subsequently stop trying. Here is a Scripture concerning this.
Ephesians 6:12
“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”
1 - What did you feel???
2 - How long did that feeling last until you started feeling any doubts???
3 - Did the Pastor / Priest or person who led you to Christ help you in any way, or just walk away???
4 - Were you encouraged to read your Bible, attend any “New” Christian Bible study classes???
Now, in-as-much as you’re in South Carolina, and I’m in New York City, I can’t sit with you and pray with you, however, first, please read these two Scriptures and let them sink into your mind, heart and spirit.
1 Peter 5:7
“casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.”
Hebrews 13:5
“I will never leave you or forsake you.”
Now, pray with me (I’m with you in spirit as Jesus allows).
Heavenly Father, I acknowledge you as my God, and praise your Holy name, for from everlasting to everlasting you are my God. You already know my problem before I speak it, however, I come before you and ask your help in removing the darkness that has clouded my mind and spirit from seeing you. I claim the truth of your Holy Word, and as you have said you’ll never abandon me, and You care for me as your child. I need the healing touch of your nail-scared hand upon my life, to feel the warmth of Your love, and to be able to hear the still small voice of your Holy Spirit. Please dear God help me, my unbelief, and renew Your Spirit within me. I pray this believing and with thanksgiving in the name of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.
Now, take heart, and rely on the following Scripture. Please do not force yourself, be relaxed, be at ease, and remember that anything we ask in His name (and in His will) will be given to us.
Isaiah 40:31
“But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.”
1 John 1:9
“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
Now remember, Satin will come after you again and again to discourage you, so,
James 4:7
“Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.”
This is an ongoing process each and every day of our life. You need to be aware that when you confess your sin to God, you need to be honest and truly repentant, and try to the best of your ability to not do it again.

Okay, you’re 17 so I would conclude that you will understand that trying to force yourself to do anything will only end up in frustration. The more you try, the more difficult it becomes and the further away it feels, and the more you just want to give up.BALLS2WALL:

Think back to the moment you confessed Jesus as Lord, and asked Him into your life:It's hard to have faith when you havn't felt God in two years. It is impossible for any person let alone a Christian to live life without sinning. This is part of our human nature. However, please remember you have a conscience which in reality is the Holy Spirit convicting you of your wrong doing when it occurs. As we are told:My biggest thing is believing that I should live my life without sin by a angry God that says do it and I'll spank you from 2,000 years ago. In the movie Dogma this line was stated... "Faith is like a cup, when your small it is easy to fill. As you grow older and your cup gets bigger your cup is harder to fill."
I think that is the reason. I mean I read all I can on religion and the older I become the more I want to move away but hold on tight because the fear of hell.
