looking for a place where debatng my beliefs about science and christianity I've found a website that offers one million euro to the one that will show that God really exists.
The website seems to be run by a bunch of sarcastic atheists, but their offer seems interesting to me.
Man's version of love is all that exists. Personally I do not have any impetus to love my neighbour(s). I like some of them, I don't know others, I vaguely dislike still others. I am still polite to them, kind to them even, when the need arises. All neighbours do not love one another because usually, love is a strong emotion reserved for ones family, partner and perhaps a few close friends. There is nothing 'silly' about this. There is nothing to belittle in this. This is life, real life, as lived by real people. Our love is love as we, as real people, understand love. It is the notion of God's supposed love which is silly. God's love is so conditional and undetectable that it may as well not be there at all. Unsurprising really that many people believe that it is not there at all. Give me man's 'version' of love any day. Unconditional love, not conditional, like God's supposed 'love'.
