The New Testament warns against cults that forbid marriage and the eating of foods that were approved under the Mosaic law in 1 Timothy 4:3. Most forms of meat were approved with all forms of meat approved in the New Testament.

Looking at your stated reasons for going vegan, why not vegan OR vegetarian?

Wish I could go vegan! Unfortunately, I cannot simply because I am allergic to so many things vegans eat. I cannot eat gluten whether in the form of wheat, barley, corn, or whatever. Cannot eat peanut butter, beets, and even something as mild as eggs (which some vegetarians do eat). In the past whenever I tried to go veg, I suffered blinding headaches and fatigue. Sorry to say, veganism just doesn't work for me.
