I had to questions i was wondering, unfortunate one of them flew away, perhaps i remember it, anyhow, first one;

1. WHERE in the bible does it say commiting suicide is a sin? I could´nt find it in any quick sin list i was looking for, but everyone SAYS its a sin and you wont come to heaven. WHY?

2. ok, i forgot the other one, but it was a good one. i know, alas, later on.

McCulloch:
[sarcasm]There once was a religion which allowed the converted to commit suicide in order to get to heaven quicker and avoid this life of toil and woe. They did not last long. No one remembers them.[/sarcasm]

There were the Shakers and they didn't believe in sex.
So they might as well have been dead and their doctrine didn't bring in a lot of converts or offspring.

I asked this question to a couple of guys once, i asked them "If you had no sexual drive, would you still be interested in woman?", and the answer is obviously NO.

Hard Truth really. And if no sex, well, whats the point really? I would love to LOSE my Sexual drive, i mean, NOT HAVING IT, damn it must be nice, no thoughts or desires of sex.... Gosh.

If the above statement is true, then you will truly love being born again into the Kingdom of God, because there is no sex in heaven!! The Saducees attempted to trick Jesus by posing a question whereby one woman had multiple husbands which predeceased her. When she became a member of the Kingdom of God, which earthly husband would become her husband in the Kingdom of Heaven? Jesus answered:
For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels which are in heaven. (Mark 12:25)
God created marriage to produce families. The sex act procreates the human race. But in the Kingdom of God, there are no humans. There we will be like the angels which live forever. Since we live forever, there is no need to reproduce ourselves, and thus no need for sex in heaven.

So there will be no gay, straight, or bisexual beings in the Kingdom of God. There we will all be asexual spirits. However, there will be spirits in the Kingdom of God which were born again from gay, straight, and bisexual humans who lived on the earth! Sexual sins are pardonable. The one unpardonable sin is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit.

Explained in much more detail at http://myth-one.com/chapter_11.htm entitled No heterosexuals In Heaven.

Hold on, are you saying that "marriage", the bond between a man and a woman (or man-man, woman-woman) did not exist until Judeo/Christianity?

So before, lets say, 4 thousand years ago (2000 BC), when neither Christianity or Judaism existed, this bond did not exist?

If I ha no sex drive I would still like women. They are still nice soft and kissing is still fun.

For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels which are in heaven. (Mark 12:25)

I say they are not taken of given in marriage. That does not mean their is no sex. Just no marriage.
I thought angels had sex with the daughters of men and had offspring.
Why else would Paul the man with all the vision tell women to cover their heads so the angels will not get turned on?
"let's get biblical".
(song to the toon of "let's get physical")

God created Eve to be Adam's wife in the Garden of Eden:
Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. (Genesis 2:24)
So marriage existed from the Garden of Eden. Every pair of animals God created was to be fruitful and multiple:
...be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth... (Genesis 1:28)
So sex replenishes the various species, and each man was to have one wife. All species on earth must reproduce or die out. Reproduction is not a problem for angels, as they live for eternity. Since sex was created for man to be fruitful with one wife, and since there is no requirement for angels to reproduce, and since angels do not marry; there is no reason for sex in the Kingdom of God. Sorry everyone. I am as disappointed as you are.

Simply kissing will not get the job done Cathar1950, although it is a fun starting point and probably OK in heaven. As disappointed as I am about no sex in the Kingdom of God, consided the unfortunate Moslem martyrs of 9/11 infamy. They were reportedly promised seventy-two virgins upon arrival in heaven. In other words, one selling point for martyrdom is good sex. Think how disappointed they are going to be. The truly intelligent martyr will require payment in advance!!

Eh, ok, So when was Adam & Eve alive then?

Us "Humans" would arose around 100 to 200 thousand years ago. Are you saying one of them was Adam & Eve or how does it work?

Eh, ok, So when was Adam & Eve alive then?

Us "Humans" would arose around 100 to 200 thousand years ago. Are you saying one of them was Adam & Eve or how does it work?
By my calculations, the Genesis recreation occurred 5964 years ago from the year 2006, with a plus or minus error of 10.5 years. I am not an expert at these calculations. So let's say very roughly that Adam and Eve were born around 6000 years ago. Adam then died 930 years later.
In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. (Genesis 1:1)
I will accept the date of the original creation of the earth and its surroundings as 4.5 billion years ago. This is the age generally accepted by scientists, and they know more about it than I do. Likewise, I will accept that something that may have resembled a human came on the scene roughly 100-200 thousand years ago (your number).

At sometime before 6000 years ago, the earth had reached a state of complete disrepair due to the rebellion against God by Satan and some of the angels placed on the earth as its caretakers.
Now the earth was formless and empty; darkness was over the surface of the deep... (Genesis 1:2)
Therefore, six thousand years ago, God intervened and recreated the earth. This recreation begins in Genesis 1:3. During this recreation, man was made a little lower than the angels. Specifically, he was created without the knowledge of good and evil, and he was created mortal. Why create more immortal beings and risk being stuck for eternity with more rebels? During the previous 4.5 billion - 6000 years, many things may have been existed or evolved. Dinasaurs and other strange animals certainly existed.

Question for scrotum: Very recently, scientists discovered that the human body can live for 120 years maximum. They discovered that repeating DNA strings (TTAGGG) cap chromosones. They call these strings telomeres. Each time a cell divides (cell regeneration in the body), its telomeres become shorter. When they reach a preset length, the cell ceases to divide, ages, and dies. This occurs at 120 years of age. However, Moses wrote in Genesis:
And the Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be a hundred and twenty years. (Genesis 6:3)
Also, we were taught in elementary school that Christopher Columbus discovered that the earth was round. Yet, thousands of years ago a man wrote:
It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth... (Isaiah 40:22)
The Question: How could any man write the above two scripture verses when man did not even discover these facts until recent times?

But there is one slight problem with this, and that is that humans existed before 6000 years ago. So how do you calculate it with that as a fact?

We know for a fact that the Chinese Nation existed around 10 000 years ago. So let us use that as a fact. If "Adam & Eve" is the start of humanity, you need to begin sooner then 6000 years ago.

So your answer is that you do not know?

Another answer: Since the humans who wrote these verses did not even know the facts which they wrote to be true, then someone higher up and more intelligent must have dictated to them what to write.
