What's heaven for you?

The world can be a demanding and stressful place alright. Progress isn't all it's cracked up to be, although it does have its good points. Maybe the trick is to identify those things that delight and inspire and make the time to indulge in them now and then.

If my friends or family aren't around, heaven for me could be sitting in my leather recliner working my way through Goldfrapp's album "Felt Mountain" on my ipod nano with a glass of Remy Martin champagne cognac and a Schimmelpenninck Cigar. I guess it has most of the addictive elements covered

I'd like to know what material pleasures other people take delight in...

For me it is when I lose myself playing music. It does not happen all the time unfortunately. If the music is still unfamilliar to me or is too difficult or not difficult enough or there are distractions or someone is listening then it just does not happen.

Erik Satie's Gymnopédies and Gnossiennes; Claude Debussy (althought most of his work is quite beyond my skill); Louis Moreau Gottschalk's Souvinir of Puerto Rico and Le bananier. But Michael Nyman's, The Heart asks Pleasure First is particularly good for this.
