We need a name to hijack
Post #1I was thinking about how the homosexuals have taken the word "gay" and that atheists are trying to take over the word "bright". So, I was thinking there should be a term for Christian debaters. Any suggestions for what word/term for us to claim?

enlightened
Post #11I like the aforementioned "enlightened"?
Christians are the only truly enlightened souls in existence.

What is wrong with tradition? Apologist?
Or perhaps that title is overused. How about the english equivalent? Defenders?

It is a first class human tragedy that people of the earth who claim to believe in the message of Jesus, whom they describe as the Prince of Peace, show little of that belief in actual practice.

Post #14Aww man, You took my idea........ "Enlightened"7cworldwide wrote:I like the aforementioned "enlightened"?

You see, you can teach anybody knowledge.
But you can't teach "Enlightenment".
Only God can make that little lightbulb above
your head come on....ahh everything is so
clear now.
I learned this formula not long ago, "knowledge"
ax 2 + bx + c = 0 then x = ( -b (b 2 - 4ac) ) / 2a (Quadratic Formula)
But I don't understand it, "Enlightenment"
There is many people that know the Bible
word for word, "knowledge"
but do not understand the meaning of it. "Enlightenment"

Were this sort of thing up for a vote, I’d cast mine for “Blessed” as well. I’ve always felt that there are two things that are vital to communicate to non-believers. 1) That we have something very good in our lives, and 2) that it does not come through any merit of our own. I feel that this term is the best fit for these criteria.Piper Plexed wrote:I think I like "The Blessed"
Reason being when I discuss positive turns of events in my life , it is quite natural for me to say that I am blessed or Thank God etc.. When the A's discuss such things well I guess they can say , I am so lucky? Well anyway, the point is one must believe in God to see Gods effect on their lives and most Christians consider Gods effects as blessings so I guess blessings are very unique to the faithful , aren't they?
