Why are people telling obscene jokes about this woman I am barely aware of, this woman who is after all the WIFE of a politician and not even (then) running for office herself, I wondered? That is the extent of the character assassination of Hillary Clinton that has been occurring for more than 30 years now. Why? Apparently because she has the audacity to have thoughts, ideas and opinions of her own. Clearly she is NOT the Republican ideal of what a woman and wife should be. Hillary Clinton is everything Republicans hate. An intelligent well educated AMBITIOUS woman. How dare she!

Here is a list of the various "offences" that Republicans have charged Hillary with over the years.

1. When she was first lady, she murdered White House lawyer Vince Foster and then dumped his body in a park.
2. She drove Vince Foster to commit suicide through her temper tantrums.
3. She was having an affair with Vince Foster.

And yet she is still still walking around free? In actual fact, she has never actually been charged with a crime, much less convicted of anything. One would think that anyone THIS evil would have been hung, beheaded, drawn and quartered by now.

What do the polls indicate that Hillary Clinton's biggest negative is? That she is "untrustworthy." Given all of the untrue and plainly mean spirited vilification that has been heaped on her over the years, the fact that she is still standing on the public stage says a lot about her character. Given the unprecedented level of bile thrown at her for years now, most people would have packed it in long ago.

I would say that any hyperbole that I might be reasonably be accused of pales in comparison to the relentless and insistent hyperbole that has been directed at Hillary Clinton for years now. Since long before she was even a candidate for anything. I based my "hyperbole" directed at the GOP on the daily news, and the fact that Republicans choose Donald Trump as their candidate for president. At this point, I am not sure there is anything I could even say that might actually be rise to the level of true hyperbole, when we consider the nature of the things Trump has chosen to publicly say himself, or the direction he has chosen to direct his campaign in. I understand your characterization of Trump, but think it's a bit superficial. That's kind of how I felt about him in the primaries.

But he has shown imporivement. And the contrast with Hillary makes him more appealing to right-leaning folks like me and (I would guess) other Independants.

Exactly. Everyone who obtain a power as great as being the president of the most powerful country on earth is necessarily going to need to be diplomatic.

You've just confirmed the Hillary is indeed a very good diplomat.

Compare this with Trump who is clearly offensive, uneducated, inarticulate, and crude. Even if he had good intentions his failure at diplomacy could prove to be disastrous on the world stage anyway.

The future of the world and the solution to our problems must be a diplomatic solution. And Hillary is clearly the better candidate for that job in this election cycle. (given just these two candidates to choose from)

Even ISIS must be defeated diplomatically, not militarily. And by this I don't mean that we need to have diplomatic talks with the leaders of ISIS. That is not even open for discussion. What I mean by a diplomatic solution is to work with other nations, especially Arab nations and with "Reasonable Islamic Leaders from the religious world" to work against ISIS in terms of publicly disapproving their behavior and renouncing it as being representative of Islam.

We also need to work "diplomatically" through the Internet to convince young people that ISIS is not a rational choice.

Hillary is a far better choice for this task.

Trump has already outlined his approach and that is to "Crush ISIS Quickly".

How does he intend to do that? Using brute force of military only? And if so, is he then going to send large numbers of U.S. soldiers over to Syria to conduct this war?

And after he has "Crushed ISIS", is he then going to KEEP U.S. forces over there to rebuild those nations? Did he already claim that he's against nation-building?

His claims to do things just aren't making any sense. Does he have any actual PLANS? Or is he just spewing hot air in an attempt to get votes?

He claims he's going to do all these impossible things yet he has no plans to speak of.

He's going to bring jobs back to "Coal Miners" in states like Pennsylvania, when the coal companies no longer need human laborers to mind coal. How's that going to work?

He claim he's going to crush ISIS instantly, but not hang around in the vacuum created by that to conduct "nation building". How's that going to work?

And he's going to do all of this whilst building a WALL between the USA and Mexico that Mexico made clear they aren't going to pay for. And deporting millions of illegal criminal immigrants out of the country in his first HOUR in office.

Where's the plan? How's he going to do these things?

And let's not forget about banning Muslims from coming into the USA. He even said that he wants to deport any Muslims who believe in Sharia Law. How's he going to determine who they are? Is he going to start deporting Muslims on the mere suspicion that they might be supportive of Sharia Law.

And what about making black neighborhoods safe so black people don't need to worry about getting shot walking around in their own neighborhoods. What's his plan there? Is he going to send in a special "task force" to round up all the suspicious blacks and toss them all in jail in an effort to make black neighborhoods safe?

I'll bet the black people are just going to LOVE him for that.

Where is his detailed plan on how he hopes to accomplish any of these things?

All he's been doing is making unrealistic promises that would be impossible to actually implement without creating a state of "Marshal Law" where he just sends in special units to round up any suspicious looking characters.

And even Marshal Law, won't help his promises to the coal miners. Even Marshal Law can't force modern day coal companies to toss out their robots and automated coal machinery and start issuing hand-shovels to coal miners. Those days are gone forever.
