I agree completely and you make an important observation that I had not completely considered.

My theological positions:
-God created us in His image, not the other way around.
-The Bible is redeemed by it's good parts.
-Pure monotheism, simple repentance.
-YHVH is LORD
-The real Jesus is not God, the real YHVH is not a monster.
-Eternal life is a gift from the Living God.
-Keep the Commandments, keep your salvation.
-I have accepted YHVH as my Heavenly Father, LORD and Savior.
I am inspired by Jesus to worship none but YHVH, and to serve only Him.

Beautiful.
Not just adjust, but reinterpret with alarming allowances for a special case that just happens to be part of the religion he likes best.

"The historical method can only tell us what probably or most likely happened in the past. Since miracles are, by definition, improbable, if not in fact impossible, they are methodologically outside the bounds of historical inquiry.
History, then, as a disciple, cannot tell us if Jesus was divine or worked miracles any more than it can for Alexander the Great or Caesar Augustus[...]Any supernatural claim about Jesus can only be accepted as a matter of faith. Again, this is the domain of theology rather than history."

"In my case, all of these psychological analysis are secondary because the only reason I will remain a Christian is because I see it as true and the message of the NT is to be together with fellow believers. I can also psychoanalyze atheism all day (as psychologist Paul C. Vitz does) but I suspect this would impact very few atheists if their main concern is finding the truth of the matter. In short, everything has a psychological motive or need to it. Atheists are not immune to that."
As an amateur in most things, I have my notions on theistic belief, but when a theist says such as you have here, we're compelled to fess you speak your truth.

"This is like asking if humanity is a force for good or evil. God is whatever humanity does with God."
That'll end it, then, we've come to the most rational conclusion that can be had.
