Romans 6:3
Post #1Since Romans 6:3 states we are baptized into Christ Jesus' death, what does this mean? When do we resurrect? When we come up out of the water ?

But his resurrection brought them together again.Jesus' disciples were baptized into life with him. It was his death that scattered them .
His invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made.

But they are still only baptized into his death . Our true hope is not death but to be spared at the last minute. His death left us in the cruelty of this suffering world unchanged. Baptism into life is to freedom from cruelty suffering and death.

Baptism Into Life
Post #13-
much more powerful, supernatural baptism is required to endow people with
life.
†. John 4:10-15 . . Jesus answered and said to her: If you knew the gift of
God, and who it is who says to you "Give Me a drink" you would have asked
him, and he would have given you living water.
. . . She said to him: Sir, you have nothing to draw with and the well is
deep; where then do you get that living water? You are not greater than our
father Jacob, are you, who gave us the well, and drank of it himself, and his
sons, and his cattle?
. . . Jesus answered and said to her: Everyone who drinks of this water shall
thirst again; but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him shall
never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall become in him a well of
water springing up to eternal life.
The "well of water" about which Christ spoke is God's spirit.
†. John 7:37-39 . . If any man is thirsty, let him come to me and drink. He
who believes in me, as the Scripture said "From his innermost being shall
flow rivers of living water." But this he spoke of the Spirit, whom those who
believed in him were to receive.
†. 1Cor 12:13 . . For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body . . .
and we were all made to drink of one Spirit.
Bottom line: Any John Q and Jane Doe pew warmer can get baptized by
clergy, but not every pew warmer has been baptized by one Spirit. Hence;
they abide in death rather than life because they lack the well of water about
which Christ spoke with that Samarian woman.

Baptisms performed by clergy merely initiate people into Christianity. Adio9 wrote:How about being baptized into life? Baptize me into life please
