Greetings from a 'green and pleasant land'

I've just registered so may I introduce myself?

I am a full time stipendary priest in the Church of England. I am serving at my first posting following graduation from theological college.

When in a serious mood, as I am now, I describe myself as a magisterial Anglican. That means I assent to and promote a conceptual species of magisterium, or teaching office, of the Church, much like Roman Catholicism.

In my lighter moments, I say that I am an Anglico-catholic Liberal Evangelical (ALE). Sometimes a pint or two of the same will induce a move from the former mood state to the other.

I quite like to think about theological epistemology, that is, issues of truth, rationality and justification concerning religious claims.

I hope to learn much from some of you.

And I hope we can learn from you.

Best regards from the 'true north strong and free'.

Welcome from down here at the Jurassic coast of our 'green and pleasant land'. It's good to see another real Ale enthusiast come on board :D
