as for me:
1)I think I tend toward Buddhism, but I'm not quite certain (of course, you can never be).
2)The majority tend to be either ignorant, innocent, or worse...have their own hidden agenda (those types come on too strong).
2)The type that's open-minded, yet does not tolerate social injustices, at least those severe ones that threaten to shape one's life and they way one thinks.

Most christians (mainly catholic in my case) OK once they don't try to convert people. Fundamentalists- I've no time for.

1. I am a follower of Christ...I generally don't label myself under any denomination nor do I like to label myself as a protestant because then too many people try and put Martin Luther as the founder and trace my beliefs back to his (and I don't place more importance on Martin Luther than I do any other person and I didn't agree with all his beliefs)

2. I think making such broad generalizations about a group of people is very dangerous and stereotypical. It would be like asking what someone thought out all people of a certain race, sex, sexual orientation, ect. I also think that many people do horrible things in the name of Christianity (as they do with other groups of people) even though they don't really have any of the beliefs (Marilyn Manson is a satanist and he created a mock Christian band to try and break young Christians of their faith)

3. I admire honest and sincere people. I like people that can have intense and serious debates without sinking to using petty insults.

(warning: This will offend some) Let me say that the following is based only on MY experience and I am in no way insinuating that EVERY christian is like this...
In my experience most christians are arrogant, egotistical, hypocritical, self-righteous, spoon-fed sheep. They try to invalidate other faiths to justify their own and lack the capacity to think for themselves...

Someone who is not afraid to go "against the crowd", someone who values honor and self respect. Someone who takes responsibility for their actions and expects the same from others. Someone who is generous, kind, and has a great sense of humor.

First of all, I've enjoyed the honesty of people in this thread.

1) Christianity
2) Some are very loving and honest. Some of these first introduced me to Christ. Others encouraged me to seek the truth. But I find others to be somewhat hypocritical and judgemental or harsh and unwilling to reason with.
3) I admire someone who is genuinly caring and giving and who perservers when things get tough. I also admire people who strive for excellence in whatever their doing. I admire people who manage to do what's right themselves without judging others. Most of all, I admire people who seek the truth.

1) i believe in the doctrine of physical and spiritual realities.
if religon is meant to be a specific denomination then im on the outside of that; if religion is in the developments of spin then im on the outside of that as well.

2) to be quite honest i see alot of spinning christians using the english text; if christians want the spinning of text that is not in harmony with hebrew and greek text, then to me its apparent, that christians should abandon the entire belief including the inspiration towards the necessity of accurate translation.

3) a person that view the following to be evident: perserverance, influence, action and reaction, frame of reference, acts of faith.

Well my usergroup thing says "Athiest", but I'm afraid that is only a half-truth, I have a bit of a personal belief system patched up.

"Normal everyday" Christians, so to speak, are fine (to generalize). However, many fundamentalist Christians (not to offend anyone here who may fit this label) who write letters to TV stations telling them how ashamed they should be of airing the newest episode of Wheel of Fortune because it glamorized gambling...they scare me a little bit. However, as I said, those are gross generalizations; I prefer a person-by-person basis. For example, there are many people whom I would consider "fundamentalist" on these forums that are very good people and, to the contrary, I know people that are "normal everyday" chrisitan (a good percentage of my school) whom I aboslutley cannot stand as they are just bad people.

3) What kind of person do you most admire?

I most admire someone who is on a constant search of truth, not stone-set in their beliefs, yet who is able to have a sense of humor about such things. Someone who is able to have a heated, intelligent debate against someone else, and still come out friends (or at least friendly).

1) I'm undecided on what my beliefs are but I do not subscribe to an organized religion.
2)Most Christians I have met through life are either good-hearted people who don't know anything about the Bible and only believe what they do because they were raised on it. The exceptions to that are the ignorant ones who don't believe in science and the rare open minded Christians, which certainly exist in this forum.
3)The kind of person I most admire is intelligent, funny, and willing to see things from another perspective.
