Hey guys,

I've been reading this forum for a few weeks now, and finally signed up :) I wasn't raised in a religious environment, but did believe in God (in the young child sense) up until I was around 11. Since then I have tried to rationalise my beliefs, as well as searching for a form of Christianity that I would consider consistent.

I am studying Mathematics in the UK, perhaps with a view to go into teaching. No definite plans for the future though :)

Looking forward to getting debating!

Hello, welcome to the forum. I am sure you will find the content here instructional in discovering a worldview best suited to you.

If I may ask, why are you specifically searching for a version of Christianity that is consistent instead of a more broad based approach that examines other religions and philosophies, or even a lack of them?

Primarily because the people I meet day-to-day are Christian - perhaps I was unclear, in that I'm looking to promote consistency in anyone's beliefs, rather than convert everyone to whatever conclusions I come to. It seems unrealistic to remove someone's belief in God, but I would sleep easier thinking they could be right (bizarrely)!

Thanks for the welcome :)

Welcome!

So do you currently consider yourself a christian (even a non-denominational one)?
