Though I would agree with you, not everyone would: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moral_nihilismnancyd wrote:I agree that point of view and context have everything to do with "right" or "wrong"Slopeshoulder wrote:How do we "interpret" the rightness and wrongness of events of willful action, and is there an alternative to nihilism? Are events and acts the same? Are interpreatations themselves acts or events? Are ethics possible? What is the source, foundation, or structure of our interpretation? Is it political, socio-biological, self-delusional, or is there meaning to the words right and wrong (ideal, real, pragmatic), and can this meaning be shared in discourse and community? Do human events differ from particle events? ParticlePerson, are we persons, particles, or both?TheParticlePerson wrote:There is no right or wrong, only events and humans interpreting them.
I can't get to a definition until you clarify.
However there are some things that are just wrong under any circumstance. For instance: raping an infant. Perhaps there is a alternate universe where this is the norm but my assumption would be we are speaking of this universe.
