Is being Transgender a choice?

Post #1

Post by AgnosticBoy »

I'm of the opinion that gender expression is a result of social conditioning. I know I used the word "choice" in the title, but that's only because people tend to associate behavior that can be changed or conditioned as being a "choice" (borrowing from the debate on born this way vs. choice).

In this thread, I want to focus on being transgender. Based on my above opinion, I also believe that being transgender is also a result of social conditioning (i.e. childhood experiences, what they learn from society, etc). If I'm right then I think that the recent focus on transgenderism in the media, in Hollywood, in schools, could lead some children to become transgender. And there is nothing wrong with that.

I also bring these points up because when some parents complain about their kids learning about transgenderism in school, the reaction is that it won't impact (some say "groom" ) the child into becoming transgender. If my view is correct, I think the pro-trans crowd should acknowledge that it can potentially influence children AND there's nothing wrong with that.

For Debate
1. Is being transgender a result of social conditioning?
2. Edit: Removed. Teaching kids about gender identity can be a separate thread.

Biology was my favorite class at my private Christian high school in Tennessee. It was there that I learned about Punnett squares and how traits get passed down genetically. But I never learned that sex exists on a spectrum. I was taught that boys had XY chromosomes, male genitalia and high testosterone, and that girls had XX chromosomes, female genitalia and relatively low testosterone. I didnt know that various combinations of chromosomes, hormones, external genitalia and internal reproductive structures existed. It wasnt until many years after high school that I heard the term "intersex" for the first time. And even then, I didnt realize that intersex traits could be found among as many as 2% of live births, seemingly making them as common as red hair globally.
...
"During male spermatogenesis, X and Y chromosomes perform their typical recombination in the pseudoautosomal regions," she said while drawing a diagram of the complicated process on a blank sheet of paper on the table in front of me.

"But during your own development" the student circled a portion of my fathers Y chromosome "one gene, the SRY gene, translocated from the Y chromosome to your X chromosome. So, from your karyotype chromosomal testing youre considered female, but you likely grew up being classified as male, given your external expression."

I look at this the same way that gays tried to hide behind the "born this way" viewpoint in order to bolster moral/legal acceptance of their lifestyle. I think we're at a point now where most people would accept that homosexuality is not harmful even if there is no "gay gene". In the same way I believe that at some point, we should be okay with allowing kids to see and read transgender material without hiding from the fact that it can influence them.

Keep in mind, I'm not advocating for teaching very young about transgender ideology, but rather, to allow them to encounter simple level stuff involving transgender, like reading a story that has a transgender kid in it. The alternative to ban any mention of trans examples I think that goes too far if you think even that is grooming. Getting into more details on the transgenderism could be left to left for high school level kids, perhaps even with parental consent. We have to avoid these extremes on both sides!

Yes, even animals can be homosexual and transexual.
We had a Carolina Tree drake a most beautiful bird, and he had no interest in any of the ducks that made up to him. Every spring he would gather golf balls that were laying around in the garden, place them in a nest that he had made and sit on them for about a month! He was very aggressive to anybody or creature that came near in that time, but then he would lose interest and get back to other activities. Most sadly he died of old age this spring.

_______

1: Yes. Politicians have 1000s of years conditioning the public to kill each other (eg. civil war)

My question is "Why are their no hermaphrodites on this issue?" Are they in the shadows laughing at the monster they created and getting-off on all the castration & feminization of teenage boys & young men?

IMPORTANT: Baphomet (ie. Satanic Deity) is in fact transgender by the way.

Also, I believe there are a subset of transwomen who transition just to simply identify as "Lesbian" and have a few imaginary friends/spirits (Sappho & Atthis) to guide them. All that mutilation just for that?! I mean we have all heard the saying, "lesbian trapped in a man's body" and wondered, "wtf?"

#

My solution to the trans hysteria? Give gay men a word equally comparable to that of the word "Lesbian".

It is no secret that lesbianism is an aphrodisiac for most men. Okay, here it is...

In 2007 I authored a word (out of thin-air) for the name of a city in my fictional medieval novel. At that time it had nothing to do with LGBT. Not until in 2010 when I read it backwards and it spelled an imaginary name/spirit and thought it was just a coincidence. In 2015 I read its counterpart and, it too, spells a name. What was it?

Leiscerbettian
->spell backwards, who you see?
->an imaginary spirit

Leiscerbette
->an imaginary city
->spell backwards, who you see?
->an imaginary spirit

NOTE: "ette" sounds like "eddy"

#

Lesbian & Leiscerbettian
Both start with L and end with N

#

I would absolutely love for the unintentional castration & self-infliction to end now -esp. with those who later regret their surgery/HRT! Transgender folks ought to have equal rights. Women can be big porn stars because of a word at their disposal ...why not men, too? I ask you all, "What would Jesus do?"

[Replying to AgnosticBoy in post #1]

Being sexually confused is not a choice. In fact, all heterosexuals, homosexuals and everyone else are sexually confused, according to both the Bible and modern behavioral science.

However, a biological male dressing like a female or a biological female dressing like a male, is definitely a choice and, not a very wise choice.
