Was Jesus a normal man? Or a psycho high on marijuana?

Walking on water, healing lepers, casting out evil spirits from some people and pigs killing themselves.

Is this all really true? Or were Jesus and his disciples all high on drugs?

Debate!

Thanks for debunking the theory that Jesus was high on pot. :drunk:

yeah, but like I said, any drugs they may have had could have been way more potent than pot. I have taken mushrooms, (and lsd, but they obviously didn't have this back then) and i can tell you with mushrooms, you can see things that may not be there.at the very least you would have a very distorted view of what was actually happening around you.
My version of Genesis.
At first there was symmetry. Then something broke.

So you infer that Jesus Christ and all his followers are lunatics correct?

If you read about Jesus in the Bible, would a person that is high on drugs be so eloquent in speech?

Another thing, if Jesus and his followers were all high on drugs, then Jesus was willingly being crucified because he was halluocigenic, and after His "resurrection", the disciples endured years of torment and persecution just because they were "high" on drugs this entire time. Would anyone in their right mind follow a person that was high on drugs?!

k-nug is right, Jesus couldn't have been a stoner because on weed you dont really see things that arnt there, you see a more exagerated version of things. Things may slow down or speed up or look different but they are really there. you would need a differant kinda of drug to give you that sort of a high
besides even if Jesus and his followers were on a drug that caused them to percieve things that weren't true do you really think that they all would have seen the same thing?

Jesus(pbuh) was a prophet of Allah. He was given powers by Allah, and served Allah. He was never Allah's son.

Seems there are a lot of Athiests here.

What is your supporting evidence for such a claim?

Yes, there are a number of athiests here. And I believe you might be the first Muslim here.

How can Allah have a son? If Allah is the father, and Isa(Jesus)(pbuh) is the son, who is the mother? Isa never said he was Allah, did he? No. He said to worship my lord and your lord, not worship me.

Yes, I think I am the first Muslim. I am happy to be here, and maybe, just maybe, I'll convince an Athiest. Got to work on my cousin before that; he's Athiest. If I get him to believe in Allah, :D .

Jesus, the Son of God

When Jesus walked on the Earth, He was the Son of God incarnated as the biological son of the virgin Mary. But as part of the Godhead (Jehovah)(YWHW), Jesus (the Son of God) has existed for all eternity. Thus, the term "Son of God" does not mean that the Son was procreated by God. Rather the term describes the eternal relationship between the three parts of the One God (the Trinity): God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Yes, this is a somewhat complicated explanation (and I tried to use simple terms!), but then, our God is not simplistic.

From a biblical perspective, Jesus technically did not claim to be Allah. But He clearly claimed to be God (Jehovah), as did the writers of the New Testament (i.e. they claimed He was God). For starters, Jesus said, "I and the Father are one." (John 10:30) Later, He indicated that that He has already claimed to be the Son of God when he asks an angry crowd, "Why then do you accuse me of blasphemy because I said, 'I am God's Son'?" (John 10:36b) Some other relevant passages include: Matthew 16:16-17, Matthew 26:63-64.

Welcome to the board. It's nice to finally debate a fellow monotheist.

Alright, I believe we've debunked the whole "Jesus and his diciples were high on drugs" theory so I think the question is now "Was Jesus a normal man?"
So from Jerusalem all the way around to Illyricum, I have fully proclaimed the gospel of Christ.
