Atheists vs. theists

Post by Ooberman »

Just thought I'd take a census.

BTW, i accept that we are all Agnostic to some degree, so i left it out. That is, nobody really KNOWS, but we all lean toward a belief there is no god or gods, or there is a god or gods.

I'd also be interested in how many people are Naturalists, and how many are Supernaturalists.

I know that most agnostics lean either toward atheism or theism, but I've never really thought about which camp I fall into. But from the arguments I give on here, it looks to me like I would fall into the atheist camp. It's just the one that is more logical. I was a Christian most of my life, and I guess I've just grown up. That's kind of what I felt like when I "officially" left Christianity and declared myself an agnostic, it was like I had left behind childhood and grew into adulthood.

I registered as a theist, but I feel I should note that just as "atheists" will no doubt complain that there are many varieties and nuances to nonbelief, three are many varieties and nuances to belief as well. I often complain about being lumped in with fundamentalists, and it is well known here that I share more in the way of tolerance, values, and respect for rationality, logic and science with atheists and nontheists than with conservative Christians.
