Typical Sunday for me is to work my second job in the morning and correspond the remainder of the day around either the weather of NFL, depending on the season. If there is football on, I'm most likely at home or a sports bar keeping myself entertained for several hours. In the offseason, as we are now, I'm likely to play some basketball with a few friends or come up with alternate plans ranging from movies to PS2 to anything else we might conceive of.
As far as I can tell, were all atheists to suddenly become Christians on a Saturday night the only real difference might be a single hour of their time in the early morning... So from a general perspective, I guess just fill some part of your Sunday in whatever time you might spend in church and you'll have an idea of how atheists spend their Sundays.

Post #5Hmm, most of the Christians I know don't do that. Well, perhaps a little football.perspective wrote: The same things that most Christians do on Sundays - sleep late then watch football.
If I was an atheist, I'd just treat Sunday as another Saturday.

Post #6Yeah, but the most recent numbers suggest that only 20% of adults actually attend church once a week.otseng wrote:Hmm, most of the Christians I know don't do that.perspective wrote: The same things that most Christians do on Sundays - sleep late then watch football.
another linkThese numbers are somewhat suspect. Church attendance data in the U.S. has been checked against actual values using two different techniques. The true figures show that only about 20% of Americans and 10% of Canadians actually go to church one or more times a week. Many Americans and Canadians tell pollsters that they have gone to church even though they have not. Whether this happens in other countries, with different cultures, is difficult to predict.
The Institute's 1998 study involved almost 166,000 people. They found that church attendance was in decline in 15 of 19 industrialized democracies. Only two showed small increases: Northern Ireland and Great Britain. Attendance in East Germany continues to decline, having dropped from 20% in 1991 to 9% in 1998.

Post #7Atheists do a variety of things. It would be easier to tell you what they do not do. For instance, they do not spend anytime whatsoever worshipping something they are convinced is not there.juber3 wrote:Hey i have a simple question What do atheist do on Sunday's ? Being that Sunday is a holy day for Christians and set aside for a particular purpose each week, I assume you are asking if Atheist use that particular day for a special purpose.
If that is the case, the answer is no. Depending on the particular individuals schedule, Sunday may be just another day. It may be a work day, a day of relaxation, or possibly a day of recreation.
