Allow me to introduce myself (eddie)
I was raised Christian but as soon as i grew up and joined the NAVY and got to see with my own eyes and not with the glasses of religion my parents and the "preacher" perscribed for me. i began to see all of, in my opinion the things wrong with christianity and other religions. i am here to get answers to questions that most ministers and preachers that we talk to will not touch or just tipey toe around. I will have my Fiance introduce herself when she becomes available. thanks for your time in reading my boring Introduction.

Hello all,

I'm the fiance, Brooke. I was raised with no religious background but very strong morals. I never went to church unless it was with other family members or friends and by doing so, I was exposed to several different religious backgrounds. I have been introduced to Catholicism, Christianity, Buddhism, Judaism and even a bit of the Islamic faith. Though my parents themselves did not subscribe to any religious belief, they were always very open to questions and encouraged my brother and myself to choose for ourselves, whether or not we believe or want to be a part of a religion. I personally view my parents choice as a gift.
Being engaged to Eddie has been a venture into the unknown world of religion at its worst. I have been met with strange looks and rude comments from people in his family and his parent's church. And since I hear the phrase "it is the Christian thing to do" on a very regular basis, I have so many more questions about religion and how people can delve into something wholeheartedly when they have no proof other then what they find in a book written by a biased author(s).

Hi Eddie and Brooke.
“What do you think science is? There is nothing magical about science. It is simply a systematic way for carefully and thoroughly observing nature and using consistent logic to evaluate results. So which part of that exactly do you disagree with? Do you disagree with being thorough? Using careful observation? Being systematic? Or using consistent logic?
