Hello,

Just wanted to take a quick moment to introduce myself. I am JP, Christian, husband, and father of 3. I'm looking forward to getting to know some of you and engaging in some lively debate.

Just call me Christopher
I am along the lines of Agnostic/Deist. Depends on the weather.
Came here to have an outlet and not cause problems for Americas Debate in regards to religious debate.

Welcome Christopher. I hope you will find discussions here just as civil as in Americas Debate. You might want to check out the note here for members coming from AD.

I am Hellbound Alleee, mean ol' fundy atheist, mother of none, partner of one. I have my radio project, and that takes up most of my spare time. Otherwise, I keep busy learning about my new city, Montreal, and my new language, French. I'm from Seattle, so it's pretty different. And yes, what they say about Quebec is true. The weather is cold as the planet Mars, and the language police are annoying. My new in-law family is French, originally Catholic, but, wonder-of-wonders, mostly non-religious! Yahoo! Actually, there are quite a few atheists. The best thing about Quebec is that it's the number one most secular place in North America.

The sad thing is that the number one most secular place in North America is in Quebec, where it's so darned cold! (Or hot, depending.) They should move to BC where the weather is better, I say. (Complain much?)

anyway, Quebec is good for many reasons. The food is a big big plus! The Quebecois eat like french people--with passion. They take their food seriously, and eat like it's a religion. What else can you do when there's no NHL? Anyway, my new husband and his family even have little rhymes for eating cheese and drinking wine. But why not? The cheese here is better than anything. The poutine--well, that's another story.

Salut!

Welcome; I observe there seem to be quite a few atheist, agnostics in this Christian debating site, wonder why that is? You guys a little nervous after all?

I came to Christianity just before college graduation after a logical thought process and a conscious decision. All prompted by the fact that I had volunteered for the infantry/airborne/ranger of the good ole US Army and the very real likelihood that I would be getting shot at in the jungles of Vietnam in the near future. That never happened, but I never saw any reason to rethink the religious conversion...subsequent years have only reinforced the logic and validity of that choice.

I'm in Texas, cold only for 3-4 days at a time; one of the best things about Texas is, its one of the most religious places on earth!!

Christian debating site? Am I confused or something? Let's see...
A debate forum for people of all persuasions (atheists, agnostics, deists, Christians, and adherents of any religion)
Nope, not confused! I didn't think this was a Christian forum!

But I don't understand. Why would I come here if I were "nervous?"
